Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

What a great moment with Drizella!! Too bad Jada missed out on it.

Sounds like a great night at MK, you got a lot done and even got to watch Wishes.

Loved Drizella! Jada was more worried about the food. I can't go to DW and not see Wishes. We may not always have the perfect view, but gosh darnit it's still Wishes.

What a great night! Love the character interaction...those Stepsisters make the best faces! You guys sure got a lot done at MK that night...sounds like a great time. How nice that Danielle was able to meet up with a friend from home.

I love looking at the pictures taken with the stepsisters, their faces are so horrible. Overall I felt we got a lot done that day. We still had one more day at MK but it was Jada and Lauren's only day there. Danielle and Lauren (bff) thought it was so cool that they were there at the same time.

Nice update. Sound like you had a great time at 1900 PF. That's cool that you wound up connecting with friends from back home. I worry about the HM. We scared my oldest daughter with it the last time and all it takes is me mentioning the name of the attracion and she gets upset. Hopefully the teen years will improve that.

Great update! I think the "roots showing" comment is too funny!!!!! (I can appreciate that since I am always battling the return of the roots!)

You guys got so much done that evening - way to go. sorry you got a headache after SM. Sometimes I get roller coaster headaches, too. I never know when I am going to get one. :confused3 Too bad you had to sit out Splash.

Great pictures of the gang!

That's great that you had such good character interaction at 1900. I've heard good things about the stepsisters, but haven't had the opportunity to meet them yet. I saw your sister in those pictures, coming back with her food, that's pretty funny. Poor Dennis. I can relate to overstuffing.

My son ran out of HM after the stretching room last year, and we never made it over there on this last trip so I don't know if he would have braved it or not.

We had a blast at 1900 PF. Danielle and Lauren thought they were so cool because they were there at the same time.

Danielle has outright refused to ride HM at times. I think she is finally getting over her fear.

I hope you make it back to WDW before the girls hit their teen year. I love your trip reports.

The headache just wouldn't go away. I think it added to the problems I ended up having on the following night. I think getting older adds to it to.

I have to fight my roots every month too!

Drizella was the best!:thumbsup2 I'm sorry I missed out on seeing the 3 of them together earlier that morning. I would love to see they play off each other. Dennis still remembers that feeling. It didn't stop him from enjoying other meals and eating too much the rest of the trip. When we come back I've usually lost weight from all the walking and usually had gained weight.

Is there going to be a meal on your trippy that you indulged too?

Poor James, I hope he gets over his fear. I love the HM! We've had to twist Danielle's arm to get her to ride it. She use to go through the whole ride with her eyes closed. It's a major accomplishment when she says she has kept her eyes open for a ride.

I had to think about that one. I don't think I had one where I felt sick. I ate a lot at Boma (and always do), but I still felt fine. Probably the most full I felt was after lunch at Whispering Canyon. 2 milkshakes and that bottomess skillet and some cornbread will fill you up!

I have a feeling you can put away a fair amount of food without it hurting you. Both of those meals have lots of really good food. But that's what vacations are for, enjoying everything.

Just catching up!
What a fun meal at 1900 Park Fare! We had a great time with the step sisters too!
Baylor is engaged to Anastasia....
Did you know she wants a La at the end of her name too?

Your trip to 1900 Park Fare is one of my all time favorite updates. That video of Baylor proposing was beyond words. I still tell people about it. I wish I had a guy I could get do it.

So, when is the wedding date?

Hi!!
All caught up finally. Life has been so crazy and now the kids go back to school next week and things are finally getting calm again.

I loved your 1900 update. We are going there for dinner for the first time on this next trip so it was great to see your review of it.... I loved the pink sneakers too!!:goodvibes Too bad that the StepMother wasnt all that funny though. When we saw her in the MK she was HYSTERICAL!!! Actually the reason I wanted to book 1900 Park Fare was because of her!! She had us all cracking up!:rotfl: And Drissilla kissed my 2 year old and said "she marked him" it was really funny!!!!

Welcome back. I know you had a very busy summer, but lots of fun.

I would do the Park Fare again. I can't wait to read what the stepsister do when they see your cuties. Maybe one of them will ask the boys to dance with them.

I have a feeling I am very, very late to this trip report! I promise to catch up! :goodvibes

:welcome: CP! You're not late at all. I've only completed 2 park days. We still have 5 to go. Take your time I know you're busy with school. I do have links posted on the first page.

I just wanted to do a wrap up of our first MK day before I start the next day.

Our goals for this day were pretty high, but overall I think we did really well. Of course this was only park day 2 and we were still riding the natural high you get from just being there. Our fatigue hadn't set in yet. We wanted to hit rope drop and see the opening show-check on that. We wanted to hit the two big mountains-check on that. We wanted to hit Buzz, Laugh Floor and the Indy Cars-no so good on that. We hit Buzz twice(some of us hit it more than that cause they ditched me) but not all of us hit Laugh Floor and no one rode the Indy cars. But that's okay because the 4 of us still had another MK day. We wanted to hit Small World, Tea Cups, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and Philarmagic-check to all of these. We wanted to hit Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and the Train-check to these too. The only other big thing we wanted to do and really missed out on was Toon Town. We wanted to visit the houses and ride Goofy's Barnstormer-no of which we did. But again we have another day to try for these. We didn't hit everything but we also did some extras that weren't on the target list. Overall I thought we did really well. And even though we had a rough start and I had a melt down it was a great day. The girls did BBB, we had a great dinner at 1900 Park Fare and we shared Wishes with a first timer. I love sharing Disney with first timers.

You may have noticed we don't have any character pictures unless it was at a character meal. In the past I've spent a lot of time doing character meets. Danielle use to love them as did Michelle on her first couple of trips. Sadly Danielle has decided she doesn't have time for this and would rather be doing rides or shows. The only character pictures we got were at character meals. Dennis and I use to battle about this. I've been know to find creative ways to distract him or separate so that we could do character meets. But I do have to admit it did free up a lot of time by not stopping for those character meets. I'm going to miss them.:sad2:

Today was to be our split day. Because we only had 7 full park days there wasn't enough time to do 2 days in each park. When I have split a day AK and DHS get to split it. Of course I always prefer to have at least 2 full days at each park, but hey I'll take what I can get.

The original plan was to hit AK at opening do as much as we could, have lunch at Yak & Yeti then head to DHS. So is this what happened? No. After our very full day at MK we decided to sleep in some. We actually slept in about an hour. That is Dennis, Danielle and I slept in an hour. There's no telling how long Michelle slept in. She stayed in bed and said she would meet us before lunch. I warned her to make sure to give herself at least an hour to get there. Do you feel the sense of foreboding? I have to admit she had done remarkably well so far. She is not an early riser. On our past couple of trips she would sleep in and meet us later on most days.

Also before I forget, does anyone know what day this is? Well it's Mardi Gras! I is also the day we all planned on wearing our Saints gear in support of them winning the Super Bowl.

This day won't take near as many updates to get through. This was the coldest day of our trip. Dennis didn't bring his gloves, although he was warned to bring them and he's my picture taker. For the first part of our day he didn't take any pictures because he said it was too cold.

Our first picture of the day was taken by me at the resort. As we were heading out the greeter poised for these.

He of course gave us beads. His name was Laurent and he was French.

We made it to AK for around 9:30. Jada and Lauren weren't too far behind. The first thing we did was go to Everest to grab some FPs for later. I must have used one of Jada's tickets to get Michelle as pass because I'm pretty sure she rode it with us. We meet up with Jada in the Dino area. Dennis, Danielle, Lauren and Jada rode Triceratop Spin while I had a bathroom break. We took Lauren to ride Dinosaur with us in the stand by line. It was about a 20 minute wait. This would be Lauren's first time riding and Danielle couldn't wait to show Dennis that she could now ride it with her eyes open. And yes Lauren made it through the ride okay. She did say she keep her eyes closed. Next up was It's Tough to Be a Bug, which Danielle protested loudly against riding. She was out voted and given no choice. Because she is scared of the show she had to sit next to me. I have a guilty pleasure to admit too. I laugh harder at the unsuspecting people's reactions than I do at the actual show. In this particular show there were lots of unsuspecting people. I do feel a little sorry for the little ones that were screaming.

After our time with the fake bugs we headed to Conservation Station. We totally missed this on our June trip. We were also trying to fill the time doing stuff that wasn't to big without Michelle. It was finally warming up so I actually have some pictures.

When we got inside the building they were working on an animal but I can't remember what it was or what they were doing. I never got close enough to take a picture because there was a crowd. Oh wait I think it was a bird with a broken bone. I do remember seeing x-rays up high. We took our time looking at everything. The CMs are so nice in here and explain everything. While we were in there they had a demo with a snake. When they were done you could line up to touch the snake.

Jimminy Cricket was there to meet and greet, but of course Danielle wouldn't do it so I had to take this one of him in between people.

We made our way outside so the girls could touch the smelly animals.

Well it was getting close to lunch time and we had a 12:00 ADR for Yak & Yeti. It was time to start heading that way. I started calling and texting Michelle. Where are you? It was after 11 and she was waiting for a bus. I don't know what time she headed out but I don't think she heeded my warning. If there is one thing my family knows about me is I hate to be late. I really don't like it when someone else makes me late.

Will Michelle make it in time for our ADR? You'll have to wait to find out.

That tale sounds familiar !!I tried telling Judy we needed to allow a minimum of an hour preferably 2 to get to our ressie at Chef Mickeys !!!Well she kept hanging at the pool and then because te MK bus line was long said lets go to Epcot and bus from there weelllll there is no bus from Epcot to Contempoary only Mono and we would have to change sooooo we ended up cabbing it !! You're feeling my pain. What is it about daughters? Don't they know "Mother knows Best"?

Hurray for the Animal Kingdom!!!

Love the picture with the greeter at POFQ -- I have never seen him before!

Isn't it funny how kids always gravitate towards the petting zoo no matter how old they are? When we went there in 2009, my two made a beeline for it!

I can't get over seeing pictures at Disney with coats -- it is always so hot there when we visit...

I hate to be late for anything, too. I hope Michelle makes it on time!
