Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

She's gorgeous Vanessa! And the dress is beautiful on her! What a great choice for an older princess. The color and style look like something any girl her age would like. Too bad the shoes hurt. They were perfect with it!

Thanks Janet! She really did love the dress. She picked it out herself. I think the appeal was it didn't look like the regular princess dress. So are you going to make one? The shoes were for looks only.

Great pics! We took Madison to the BBB back in 2006 when she was 3 and 1/2. It was a treat from my mom, but she only got her hair and makeup done. She walked around DTD (before they put the BBB inside the Castle) like she owned the place! She wore her tiara all week (she got the hairstyle that is a little bun with the tiara, no hairpieces). I'd really like to take her again...maybe before MNSSHP, but then I'd have to try and move our CRT ressie. Worth a try!

Do you think Madison might be ready to do this again? It would be perfect for a CRT meal. Danielle's didn't come with a crown but I had brought the crown from our June trip. I offered to bring in to put in her hair but she said no. Afterwards I think she wished we had.

I think she'd like to, so maybe we could surprise her with it. I was writing on your TR late last night, so I wasn't thinking clearly. We're eating at CRT before MNSSHP and we're using our MNSSHP tickets to enter the park at 4pm. I was thinking I'd have to move CRT (ressie for 4:25pm) in order for Maddie to go to the BBB. Well...we could just bring her to the one at DTD earlier in the afternoon!!!! She still has her tiara and Mickey barrette from 2006, so I wonder if they'd charge us less if we brought our own. However, she now wants to be Jasmine for MNSSHP, so we probably won't even need a tiara. She'll have her Jasmine headband.

Those are great pictures, it looks like they had a wonderful time. The "reveal" pictures are always the best.

I read on the DIS to take a picture of the back of the photopass cards so that you can retrieve the number if you lose them, and it has saved my butt!

Thanks Glenn! The "reveal" was the best.

I told my sister that but she doesn't always listen to her older and wiser sister. I should have just taken her card and done it myself. All those pictures taken while she was being done up and the ones after in Exposition Hall were lost. And Lauren is so much more the princess than Danielle. She would play dress up everyday.

Awww...she looks great! What a beautiful dress and so appropriate for her age! The style is a little bit more "older" and the color is just gorgeous on her! I love the pictures with both girls!! Great memories!

Ooo...can't wait to hear about the step sisters! They are always such a hoot! :rotfl:

Sara

Thanks Sara! As a brunette the dress was just the right color. The girls did make a lovely picture.

We so enjoyed our visit with at least one of the step sisters.

The pictures of Danielle are so sweet! It's a good thing she did it too, I'm sure she will have fond memories of it as she grows up. :goodvibes

Thanks Leslie. I hope she always remembers it. She still says her surprise trip was her favorite.

That's a good idea. You can shop while you're in DTD too. She would make a great Jasmine. We didn't buy the costumes from there, but brought our own. I got Danielles for $20 I think.

I don't think I could ever splurge for the Castle package. WAY too much money! My mom is going to make her a Jasmine costume. I love having a mom who is a great seamstress!

You have to post a picture on your ptr. I would love to see it.

I wish they had a BBB for adults! And I only have a step son so I'll never get to go. However, I'm thinking about going to the Barber Shop one day and getting color and mickey heads in my hair. :wizard:
The step sisters are so funny. The strawberry soup is so delicious.

I have heard of adults having BBB appointments. I think it would be fun if it were a group of ladies. Danielle id the Barber Shop in 2006. She loved the hidden Mickey in her hair.

On this visit Drizzela was the party queen!

I remember back last spring when you mentioned her seeing the dress and liking it. I'm so glad you got to have this one last (???) princess experience. Did she feel out of place at all or have any hesitation about going into the BBB? Or was she just excited going in?

I've done a few things for our December trip, one of which is a red Belle gown for MVMCP. I'm hoping we'll find Belle in hers there. I'm very excited to go back at Christmas time!

Can't wait to read more!

Danielle had spent a few trip eyeing other girls who had been "done" up and at first she felt she was too old. But after our 2009 trip she decided at Disney you're not too old, only in the real world. She was uncomfortable walking down Main Street, but felt great while in BBB. She ditched the dress after dinner but loved the hair and showing it off the rest of the night. And of course the make up.

I was a few updates behind, but am all caught up. Great job! Love all the photos. I could tell in the BBB reveal that your princess had a blast. Now that my two are quickly growing up, I may have to add a BBB day to The Plan 4.0 before they are too big and I look back and regret not doing it.

Looking forward to more!

I did it! I called and made an appt at the DTD BBB for Madison! She's going to be SO surprised!

GB your girls would love it! I'm so glad I broke down and did this. This was her last chance. She starts Middle School tomorrow!:scared1: It's so sad to see them grow up so fast.

I can just imagine the look on your face when you see your girls all Princess-fied.

She's going to have a blast. I'll have to pop over to your PTR to get caught up. I didn't get on at all this weekend.

You'll have to post lots of pictures when you get back.

After spending some time shopping while waiting for Jada and Lauren to finish up, we headed back to the front of the park.

Of course before we could leave we had to take some more pictures.

Michelle took these.

After this one she told Dennis he needed to suck his gut in.

Notice the improvement.

Walking out.

One last look.

We had decided we would take the boat to the GF since we had never done this. There were a couple of other people waiting but it wasn't too bad. Dennis took these while we waited.

Not our boat.

More to come.

Great Update !!! Sorry haven't been around much !!Betwwen both jobs I have been soo tired I would almost fall asleep in the middle of posting !!:scared1:

While waiting Michelle finally admitted that although her shoes were cute and pink they were killing her feet. Being the good Mother I am I offered up my dull, comfortable and totally unfashionable shoes for her and wore hers. This picture was taken later in the night.

It's a good thing we can wear the same size shoes.

While waiting a CM came up with a bucket and some cleaning stuff. He looked around but I guess he didn't find what he was looking for and left. When the boat did arrive we had to wait once it was unloaded. The Captain was looking for the guy because he needed something cleaned up on the boat before we could get on. And no it wasn't upchuck but it was still gross. Just a little blood was on one of the benches right as you get on. He never did say what happened and I'm glad he didn't. Not only do I not do round and round but I also pass out at the sight of blood. After realizing he had missed the cleaning guy he did his best to clean it up and just told everyone no to sit there. We loaded and soon headed off to the GF.

I'm not which of these were taken while waiting and which while riding, so just enjoy.

But I'm pretty sure this was taken while waiting.

Almost there.

Looking back.

Walking in.

This would be Dennis and Michelle's first visit to the GF. Lauren had been here for dinner with Jada in 2004 but she didn't remember it. Dennis really could have cared less but Michelle loved it. This is Michelle and Danielle's dream resort.

We enjoyed our walk and didn't get lost. We entered from the rear and walked into the main lobby. It was a little early to check in so we looked around and took in the beauty.

Of course the girls had to go upstairs.

Danielle says the staircase reminds her of the Titanic.

While trying to keep up with the girls we ended up looking in a few stores and of course the Basin store. Danielle once again asked for something but I told her we were waiting until we went back to DTD later in our trip.

Back downstairs I checked us in. On my way back to meet the others I saw the Teddy Bear lady. I had read about her on some other reports and I don't know the story to well but it still sadden me. She was sitting alone not far from the entrance to the restaurant with her bag of bears. I pointer her out to the others. I didn't have the courage to speak with her. I wish I had, she looked so lonely.

We didn't wait long for them to call our name. Soon we were lining up for our picture.

Don't you just love the girls' shoes?

We were seated in the back room past the food area. The last Danielle and I ate there we were in the middle room close to the food. At first I didn't know if I was going to like our seating since we were kind of off to the side. But in the end I really liked it. They had the back doors open which seemed to help the room not seem as crowed. This put us right were we walked in to the resort and right by a set of bathrooms. We ended up had a fiasco last trip when the girls and I stopped to use the very small set of restrooms while leaving the restaurant last trip.

After we were seated everyone headed off to fill there plates. The wonderful thing about having older children is they can get there own food. We no longer have to split up and wait to chow down. Although this isn't the best food ever I we did enjoy it. I loved the prime rib with some horsey sauce. I quite counting how many plates Dennis had. He has a hard time restraining himself.

Our first visit came from Cinderella herself. She was pleasant but didn't really say much and just rushed off.

Next came Prince Charming. He had a little more personality and treated Danielle and Lauren like true Princesses. Michelle was most looking forward to meeting him.

Lady Tremaine came next. She was okay but nothing too special.

I hate to do this but I'm going to stop here. Our next character was Drizzela and I want to ask Michelle to help me with the details and she's at work right now. I will say she was the best character we visited with the whole trip.
