Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

Hopefully Jada would make there in time to ride too. She walks much slower than us. So I took off ahead of the others on a mission. Dennis, Michelle and Danielle made their way a little slower behind.

That's what my bunch says about me.
I will be walking along at what I think is a pretty good clip - so proud of how I am keeping up and ignoring the pain - and then I find out they feel like they think they're strolling in order not to lose me!

Next up was the Tiki Room. I know a lot of people don't like it but we do.

I like Tiki Room, too. Brooklynn kept talking about it before this last trip, and in ten days, we never got around to doing it. Luckily, she never thought about it, either, so she wasn't upset. We're putting that high on our list for October.

Nice picture. :)
There's something fun about a few fireworks in the middle of the day.

:welcome: MeMom! Poor Jada. I really do walk too fast, that's why I'm usually the fp runner. But I also walk my dogs at night too. My Golden pulls me along at a fairly fast pace.

Another vote for the Tiki Room! Sorry Brooklynn missed it. I hope you get to it in October. Hopefully it will be cooler this trip.

Dennis did a real good job with the photos he got while we were riding. On our last day we got a photopass picture with the fireworks going off. Come to think of it, I think it's my avatar pictures.

I totally forgot it had a drop, but after Jada's freak out in 2004 I always remember it now.

Danielle was very disappointed in not being able to control the height in that one.

I need to keep up with their web site. All the Vera we have bought has been local.

You should go to verabradley.com and sign up for their email list. They sent out sales that you wouldn't get at a local store.

Sorry but I am one who doesn't like the new Tiki Room as much as the old one. I still go everytime for the air conditioning and to sit for a little bit.

I just signed up! Thanks for the tip.

I don't know if I would still like the new Tiki Room if I had seen the old one. Maybe someday I can make it to Disneyland and see the original.

After riding the TTA it was time to head back to the front of the park. We needed to get the girls' dresses out of the lockers. For some reason we all made the trek up to the front together. Which reminds me I forgot to post the pictures we took that morning for our Photo Pass. Looking back I wasn't sure when we took them but I'm pretty sure they were in the morning since you can see the hoops.

Dennis and Michelle headed off to keep themselves occupied while we headed to the girls' BBB appointment. On the was back up Main Street we happened upon these ladies. They were trying to convince people, especially men to break into the window display because they wanted the cupcakes. We stopped for a while to speak with them. Since the girls were holding their dresses they asked if they were Magical Princesses and could they open the the lock? We told them they didn't have a magic wand but another guy gave the girls his daughters wand from CRT. They tried but sadly nothing happened. We really enjoyed our visit with the ladies.

A little further down Main Street we ran into the band. We stopped for a bit to watch but had to hurry along. Our visit with the ladies had taken a good bit of the extra time we had. Someday I would like to see all the entertainment on Main Street and now be hurried.

We hurried to the castle and checked in. By the looks of things they were running behind. The waiting area was completely full and several people were standing including us.

After a fairly good wait the girls were called back to get changed into their dresses. We went back up front and waited a bit more. Danielle was called up first with Lauren not too far behind. This was a new experience for both girls.

Danielle one she was seated.

Doing the hair.

I took a few pictures but they also had a CM taking photos so I sat back to enjoy the experience. I though about taking pictures of Lauren too but she had a CM taking her picture too. But I never got to see those pictures. Once we got back I kept asking Jada for her photo pass cards so I could add them to my cd. Finally on the last possible day to load them she tell me she thinks she left the cards in the room. Now it did cross my mind to call and have them research to see if the could find the pictures, but since Jada wasn't concerned about them I made the call to just let it go.

Another Fairy Godmother worked on her make up and nails.

Time to put the hair on.

More in next post.

More hair.

Fairy Godmother saying the magic words and dusting her.

The big reveal!

I like this one, you can see Michelle and I in the background.

While waiting for Danielle I had a nice conversation with a lady from New Orleans. She had 3 boys and 1 daughter, the youngest. Her daughter was getting all done up and was wearing a Little Mermaid costume. Towards the end Michelle came and joined me after she left. She and Dennis had done Stitch and grabbed some FPs for Pooh that came with a FP for Philarmagic.

One more look.

Lauren was getting her royal treatment when we finished. I explained to Jada we were headed back up Main Street to Exposition Hall to take photos. I told her to meet us there. When we exited the castle the 3 parade was in full swing. It wasn't easy to swim upstream towards Town Square.

Dennis did snap a few pictures on the way.

Danielle is a little older than most princesses but I was trilled she wanted to do this since I knew this was her last chance to not be too old. I also knew if she didn't do it someday she would look back and wished she had. She was very subconscious walking down Main Street. But the best thing happened, when the float with the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella came, the FG looked right at Danielle waved and pointed her wand at her. Dennis didn't get a picture but he did get one of the float.

Since Danielle was wearing a Belle costume and she had just been spotted by FG I tried to get Belle attention, but had no luck.

We finally made it to Exposition Hall and got in line for pictures. There was only one little girl in front of her so it didn't take long.

I think it was very neat that they had this but the photographer could have been better. All the pictures are from so far away. Danielle was very subconscious and couldn't seem to find her natural smile.

More photos to come.

More pictures.

I love the fact that he did take some pictures of both my daughters.

After taking all the pictures, and I do have a lot, we were able to view them to see if we wanted to order a package now. After viewing the pictures we passed on the package. Jada and Lauren came in took some pictures too. After they were finished we took this of the girls on Main Street.

We still had a little while before we needed to leave for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare. So what did we do? We shopped! Because as Lauren would say "You can never go wrong with shopping"!

Michelle liked this, but said her boyfriend didn't quite qualify for it.

She liked this too.

Dennis liked this. He ended up buying it later in the trip.

He liked this one too.

By now Danielle's feet were hurting. Although she had gotten her gold shoes to wear at Christmas and they fit then, they weren't really fitting anymore. She switched them out for tennis shoes.

It was now time to head to the front. We wanted to catch the boat to the Grand Floridian. We were looking forward to using a new mode of transportation.

UP NEXT; "Your roots are showing, you need to get that fixed."

Let me be the first to say that Danielle looked very royal indeed!
I agree that it was a good idea to get Danielle an appointment at BBB before she was too old and regretted never having gone.

I can't wait to hear about more of your day!

Awesome pix of Daniellle !! The girls were 11 when we first went and were "TO OLD":rotfl2: Kyle was 7 when Cinderella asked him to dance and mortyified :lmao::lmao:

Im coming out of lurkdom to say Hi and great report so far. I love that your daughter did the BBB. My daughter was 16 for our first trip so we never got to experience it.

She's gorgeous Vanessa! And the dress is beautiful on her! What a great choice for an older princess. The color and style look like something any girl her age would like. Too bad the shoes hurt. They were perfect with it!

Great pics! We took Madison to the BBB back in 2006 when she was 3 and 1/2. It was a treat from my mom, but she only got her hair and makeup done. She walked around DTD (before they put the BBB inside the Castle) like she owned the place! She wore her tiara all week (she got the hairstyle that is a little bun with the tiara, no hairpieces). I'd really like to take her again...maybe before MNSSHP, but then I'd have to try and move our CRT ressie. Worth a try!

You are never too old to be treated like a princess!!;) Looks like she had a great time!

You are the first! She loved being done up. I'm so glad we did it. I think next trip we'll go back to the barber shop and get pixie dust again. Dinner with the step sisters are next.

We just barely got her in, she was 10. Maybe Kyle will appreciate the princesses more next trip.

Those are great pictures, it looks like they had a wonderful time. The "reveal" pictures are always the best.

I read on the DIS to take a picture of the back of the photopass cards so that you can retrieve the number if you lose them, and it has saved my butt!

Awww...she looks great! What a beautiful dress and so appropriate for her age! The style is a little bit more "older" and the color is just gorgeous on her! I love the pictures with both girls!! Great memories!

Ooo...can't wait to hear about the step sisters! They are always such a hoot! :rotfl:

The pictures of Danielle are so sweet! It's a good thing she did it too, I'm sure she will have fond memories of it as she grows up. :goodvibes

:welcome: and thanks for coming out of lurkdom. Please join in the fun! I'm so glad we did this. Michelle never got the chance since she's 20 but now Danielle won't have any regrets.
