Front and then spin. Have done this for years. Mom and sis both hook in the back. I'm like others, just easier to get my girls in comfortably. I do unhook in from the back. I can do it while driving and get my bra completely off.

I was telling one of the mom's from the dance school (BFF) and she could not believe it. I told her that if I was hot and sweaty after dance, I sometimes take my bra off on the way home. It's real easy, unhook, slide one strap down past elbow, change hands on steering wheel and slide arm out. Then do the other arm. Once both arms are out of straps, pull bra out from under Tee. Easy. :lmao: She was stunned!

PS - if the room is cold - socks on.

Um I am a back person- as a larger size bra wearer (G) I don't think I could flip it around to get on? Any larger size wearer do the front thing? I have carpal syndrom and would love to do it that way.

I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.

I asked a friend, and she does it the front way. I've always done in from the back.

Back. Even my g'mother does it in the back at 84yrs old.

Now Kari, she could never snap a bra in the back. So she either had front snap bras or sports bras with no snaps. Always confused the heck out of me.

Back.

I was taught the "correct" way to apply a bra from the really old lady at the Wizard of Bras.

Snapping in the front and then spinning apparently wears out the elastic too quickly.

(if you want to know, snap in the back. Bend over at the waist. Shimmy the shoulders to fill out the cups properly. Stand up. Knockers should be up and ready to go!)

Besides, I couldn't do the front and spin if I tried for an hour.

In the back, i f you don't have these horrid creatures at least halfway into the cave before you hook it closed, they aren't ever going in!!! :dance3::dance3:

This thread is so funny to me. I do it in the back and I never even thought there was another way, never mind that the majority of people do it that other way!! The things you learn on the DIS :rotfl:

Same here. And I don't even understand how it's something that is considered hard, or complicated, or a thing that requires talent. I can understand if someone cannot reach it when it's in the back.

Interesting.

I snap in the front and spin. I usually snap on the second hook in too.

You do it with the bra inside out and upside down. When you spin it around, you can raise the straps and pull the cups up. It would probably be much easier on your wrists!

Inside out & upside down - You have got to be kidding. I'd end up all twisted up and trapped in the thing. I would have to call 911.

I actually went to physical therapy because I could not hook my bra anymore when my shoulder "froze". $400 in copays later, all is right in my world.

Yep - this is the way!

I've had my shoulder replaced twice and no longer have a joint so I can't move my arm behind me - I was taught 'inside out upside down how to' in therapy. The first few times it was a good thing I was already in the hospital! :rotfl2:

Occasionally I lose movement in right arm and have to put it on one handed - only takes about 10 minutes. :scared1:

I had no idea that all women (barring some physical limitation) didn't snap in the back. I thought front snapping would be at most a small minority. I'm a back snapper unless the bra's closure is in the front. I even do that with my back snapping bustier.

The spinning thing sounds difficult, though I can see Sparx version of it working better than just simply spinning.

42DD/ snap in front, spin it around, lean forward to position the girls and straps up!

This thread reminds me of the old "All in the Family" episode when Archie berates Meathead (his son in law) about his sock donning method. Is it sock, shoe, sock, shoe or sock, sock, shoe, shoe?:goodvibes

This post is so funny to me because I was just thinking about this the other day. And I actually thought it would make a fun post on the DIS! Great minds and all that..... I think.:lmao:
I'm a front and spin kinda gal. I'm 40 and have been doing this since these things developed!

I'm a front and twister! :)

I did it in the front and spun to the back when I first started wearing bras, but I've been fastening it in the back for years now.

I am only a 36C, but I do it this way and have for years. My BFF was a 40DD (now a 38C after a reduction) and she does it the same way.

I have trouble reaching behind me and getting the hooks hooked. Plus the girls just don't seem feel correctly settled this way.

You forgot "other!" :lmao:

I also am not talented enough to fasten it in the back, and I find it too hard to turn it around, so I fasten it, then put it on over my head, like a T-shirt. A really tight t-shirt. :rotfl:

Never heard of that one. Can't even figure out how they would get in there. Do you have to bend over to get them in? :rotfl:

I'm a front hooker, spinner, straps up then lean forward to position gal.
