Ladies who've been pregnant a Q?

I had sleeping pills in the last month though probably not recommended. (I was prescribed them by a doctor, just want to make that clear). I did not have much of a bump ether.

some good advice given already, i agree with trying a v shaped pillow or something similar to aid sleep, i had awful hartburn during both my pregnancies so learnt to sleep more or less sitting up in bed,

weight wise i put on about 2 stone with both boys, lost the majority of it very quickly but really had to work to get the last 1/2stone off (have just managed it a yr after given birth).

I was back in most of my normal clothes about 6weeks after birth but jeans and tighter thnigs took a few more weeks.

congratulations on your pregnancy

I used to put a pillow between my knees to keep my hips level (old injury caused problems). I tried to eat healthy snacks bananas are great for reducing cramp that's why tennis players eat them:thumbsup2 I also ate ginger snaps and dried fruit mainly apricots and raisins some times though you need the energy boost of a bar of chocolate. I couldn't eat any dairy foods while I was pregnant, it made me violently ill I lost 1 and a 1/2 stone, which was torture I love milk yogurts and cheese and pizza. I substituted milk for a while for soya milk, it still tasted revolting but at least I could keep it down. I too put on weight during the pregnancy it took me a year to get it down to near my weight before hand. I also breast fed but had to give it up when I returned to work my employer refused to allow me time to express or store milk while on duty:mad: I wore my maternity clothes for about 4 months after DS was born mainly because it was easier to feed him wearing those clothes. A good way to burn off some calories is to take baby out for a good brisk 30 minute walk in their pram or buggy take them anywhere it boosts your metabolism:thumbsup2 I didn't drink a drop of alcohol once we knew I was pregnant, my first drink 3 weeks after DS was born was new years eve/day we opened a bottle of champagne at midnight and it went straight to my head after half a glass;) Upside is a very active intelligent son who even though he's a little shorter than average makes up for it in other ways every day.;)
