What sort of hat do you typically wear to the parks? Ball cap, large brimmed hat? Would love to see pics!

When at WDW my wife wears an awesome hat. It is dome shaped and made of black felt. It has two large round plastic circles coming out of the top almost as if they were ears. Between the circles is a red bow with white polka-dots. It also has her Name embroidered on it. :earsgirl:

Hot summer months we wire ball caps - for fun this go around probably Mickey ears :)

Mostly nothing, but a sun visor if I really need something. I get way too hot if my whole head is covered.

Smart! You should always wear a hat in the sun if you're going to be exposed for long periods of time.

While this isn't the exact one I have, here's something very similar to what I wear on my outdoor photo gigs, at the fair, beach, and what I'll be taking to Disney. I'm a ginger with celtic ancestry and a history of skin cancer, so you bet your freckles my head is covered!

I look for a hat that holds it's shape yet you can remove and stuff in your purse or backpack, is water repellant and lightweight.

I don't like hats so I won't wear them at WDW. But I do have a couple of scarves that I've occasionally used to cover my head. I still get hot so I don't keep them on for long.
I usually have a hand fan that I will also hold up as shade on my head if needed.

I am seriously thinking about buying on of those cute parasols in France when I tour World Showcase. The sun just beats down in that section of Epcot.

I just wore a baseball cap 99% of the time- see photo. I want to get one with Donald on for next time, although my TeamGB hat has served me well! I have a wide brimmed hat I wore when I dressed up nicely for BOG, but nothing more than that!

Yes, that would be myself. Hazel eyes, natural red highlights in the hair, pale skin and oodles of freckles.... :)

I have kind of fair skin so I wide brim hat that shades the back of my neck and also most of my face is a must. Something like this would work well for me.

i wear bucket hats.

i don't have them handy to take a pic of right now and i can't seem to quickly find them with a google image search so i'll just describe them.

one i got from target about 5-6yrs ago and its black and white floral print. (prior to that i really didn't wear hats)

i got a patchwork one with mickey silhouettes from WDW last summer which is now my go to hat.

during my trip in april i bought a light blue one that has palm trees on it and a pic of minnie mouse with a hibiscus flower in her hair.

My eyes are very sensitive to the sun so any time I am outside in the sun for more than 5 minutes, I wear a baseball cap and sunglasses. I still have one with Mickey on it from at least 12 years ago that is still in good condition. I only take a small fanny pack into the parks so I like that once the sun goes down, I can just attach ball caps thru the strap of my pack.

For our trip last year, I searched for a long time for "the perfect hat", and finally found this cute small cap. A lady in the Jungle Cruise line even stopped me to tell me it was cute! Here's a photo of our traveling party where I am wearing it (I'm in the middle). My SIL (right) had a regular baseball cap, and my mom (left) went hat-less for the entire 10 days.wd003wdw201413173371773.jpeg

This is my first time posting a photo to the boards, so I hope I don't mess it up!

My Disney cap, i love it! Velcro strap on back. 25$
