Ladies - purse or backpack?

Small backpack all the way! I have used the fanny pack a few times but much prefer the small backpack....oh and the best part is that I can talk my DH into carrying it some of the time.. :cool1:

We usually have a "Parents Pack" backpack for all the stuff for the kiddos (7, 5 and 2), an empty tote that has a long strap that eventually hangs off of the handle on the back of our double umbrella stroller (for purchases, umbrellas, ponchos, etc.) and then I absolutely LOVE a small purse I bought by Eagle Creek called the "Piccadilly" ($20-$25). I have used it on our last three trips to WDW and every time, I tell my DH that it was the best purchase I could have made for our trips! It is just enough to hold my "vacation" wallet, cell phone, airport papers and other small items. I am one who gets nervous often while pushing a stroller holding two kids and keeping watch over the third one who walks and wondering where my wallet is! I seldom take this bag off because it comfortably goes across me and rests on my hip (adjustable strap) and is easy to access without taking it off...Just a recommendation from a happy consumer...Google and you should find it easily! Happy Shopping! :goodvibes

Reading this thread has made me ready to plan my next trip! I think I'll look for a mini backpack tomorrow!

Thanks ladies for all of your suggestions! Will be checking out all of the suggested websites!

I find that the backpack tends to make me sweat more.
You might be wearing yours strapped too tightly to you. I like to wear mine low, so that the bottom is resting just below the small of my back (near the back of my hips.) This way the center of gravity is lower. When it's filled, the straps are loose enough so that it leans away from my back a bit and allows air in. :flower:

I carried a backpack when my son was younger, but this last weekend I took him to Busch Gardens, and for the first time since being childless, carried only my tiny little 4"x4" purse. It was SO great to not lug that backpack around. :goodvibes

If you have kids and a lot to carry, I would get a backpack, at least it keeps you handsfree. If you feel comfortable with carrying just the absolute necessities, try a small purse.

A purse sized back pack here :) Easier on the back/shoulders than anything else I've carried

I'm like the story of the 3 bears. Our first couple of trips I wore a fanny pack - too small. I then graduated to a full sized back pack - too large, and too heavy. Now I use a small back pack. It's just right! :rotfl:
