Funny question I guess, but I'm certainly not offended. I use nair mostly anymore, but I have used a razor too. As for the whole area, well, whatever strikes me at that time is what happens.

edit: I know lots of woman get waxed too, but I imagine there is a lot of pain involved in that, and I have a ZERO pain tolerance level.

This doesn't offend me in the least. It's a legitimate question, and we ladies need to help each other out.;)

I generally use a razor and go for as much of the "whole area" as I can get. That way things stay under control during bathing suit season.;)

I use coochy cream, which is a really good shaving lotion that softens the hair and doesn't leave a rash or red bumps, and I shave.
Sometimes I use wax if the mood strikes me

OK...good answers so far. There are some expensive "specialized" razors available through websites. Are they any good or just a waste of money?

I shave with a razor. A little difficult right now since I'm 9 mos pregnant. I usually just do around the outside, but I have shaved the whole area (with the help of DH--his idea). I have waxed myself before and would consider getting professionally waxed too, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Ultimately, I plan on getting laser hair removal. How much you remove is really a personal preference.

I do the same as grinninghost and just use a regular gilette ladies razor.

I do the same as grinningghost also.

What other questions do you have? I know you said you don't want to get into here on the boards, so feel free to pm me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

Before I got pregnant I waxed. But I shave when I am pregnant!

And NOPE, not offened!;)

coochy cream?!?! HAHAHA that's GREAT!

Sorry, the name amuses me beyond belief :)

I just use skintimate and my passion pink venus razor. Afterwards I use this stuff from Poetic cosmetics, I think it's called "the bikini eliminator" (sorry I can't recall). It's a cream you put on the skin right after shaving and it prevents razor burn and ingrown hairs. Works wonders.

I use pet grooming shears - Works great for me!

It's really called coochy cream. You can use it as a hair conditioner too. And my Uncle even shaves his head with my Aunt's bottle- it's awesome

Yes I like that coochy cream....where do u find it....

I too use a razor....I actually started using my Intuition that I got for free...It works great....I just wish it didnt grow back so fast....

I also will employ DH for assistance in shaving from time to time...cheap thrill for him...:p

I use my Venus razor - which I like very much and whatever body wash I happen to be using at the time. Or plain old Ivory soap.

I found that after moving to a warmer climate from Illinois I have a much longer chance to wear a swim suit so I probally shave every other morning year round and I never get any stubble or red bumps anymore.

I use veet mousse. It works 10 times better than nair, and lasts about 3 days. Make sure to use rubber gloves if you use it, or your fingers will smell like chemicals for a week.

I don't use razors because i get horrible bumps, but maybe I should try the coochie cream, where do you get it, crankyshank?

tricia.

Actually, I just use a razor and some baby oil. It makes the area easy to shave and a lot softer afterwards. A lot of us women already have the baby oil around anyway. And yes, I do shave the whole area...DH likes it and I have to admit I do too.

I shave also. Tried waxing once but only did one side. I'm just not into pain!! Now, there is always a good Brazilian wax!!!!;)

Ok ladies....Is it embarising to go get a waxing done? I have always been nervous about it

I read in the paper yesterday (or maybe it was sometime over the weekend, cant remember!!) that there is a new device that will be available in early 2005 in the UK to remove hair permanently that works similar to a laser treatment. It is small (hand held) will cost around £100 and they are working on a modified device for facial hair.

Apparently, it will take around 40 mins per leg on the first usage and will stop most hairs growing back although there maybe some 'resistant hairs' that need further treatment.

I cant wait, I'll be the first in the queue to buy one!!! All that plucking, tweezing, shaving and waxing will be a thing of the past!!!

Wheezie
