LADIES -- Need Advice -- Anyone ever use sunless tanning?

I did the Mystic Tan for the first time yesterday!

Love it! Here are some tips:

-make use of the barrier cream on all of you hands and feet
-don't touch your skin with your hands after the tan without washing them immediately. I have tan palms because I tried to pat the mist in and forgot to wash my hands :(

-buy the maintenance cream-helps prolong the tan

-if you don't wear clothes, see if the salon has a sticker you can put on so you can see the tan the next day

I'm a redhead with fair skin and I love the look!! One word of caution, it is not a base tan; therefore, will not protect you against the strong sun.

Since the Mystic Tan is expensive, I've used tan towels from HSN and had really good results. It's like a baby wipe that you rub all over your body. Seems more accurate than liquids. Here's the link:

The tan with the Mystic tan is darker than the tan towels. Maybe get the initial tan from Mystic and maintain with the Tan Towels.

Best of luck!

I have used Mary Kay's sunless tanning lotion. It went on smooth doesn't have an horrible odor and I was brown not orange. The key is to exfoliate your skin with some type of buffing cream or sponge before your apply your tanning lotion. Then when you apply it, make sure you rub it in thoroughly in the creases on your elbows, knees, feet, etc. or it will be darker in those creases. I did not use the tanning lotion on my face so I can not comment as to how it does on the face. If you are interested in mary kay, go to the web site at marykay.com and you can search for a consultant in your area by zip code.
