Ladies, lets talk shoes

I am currently wearing my new favorite pair of shoes -- silver sparkly ballet-flat style Converse One Star sneakers!

They are too cute for words. They are comfy. What more could I ask for?

My spouse calls this very important step "petting the shoes". LOL. :lmao:

I have pretty much exhausted the Coach purse market so now I am onto their shoes. The spouse just bought me 2 pairs for my bday (today!) - black flats with a satin bow, and black hi top sneakers with leopard print lining

I love that..."petting the shoes". :lmao:

Happy Birthday! I hope it was great one!

Bumping for Briarmom so she will know we think of her even when she is sleeping!

I'M HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know soon I'll be wearing Uggs almost all the time (just bought a new pair) but I've been so happy to be able to enjoy wearing my Choos and other strappy sandals these past few (non-rainy/freezing) weeks.:yay:

I used to work for a shoe store and let me tell you I love shoes.

Unfortunately I have a wide foot and a high arch so most shoes don't fit, especially the strappy ones. And many I do find that fit are kinda ugly. Thank God for New Balance or I would never be able to wear sneakers.

Don't feel bad--I have a normal width foot, but my feet are so flat that lots of shoe styles look funny on me. Where other folks have arches, I am sadly lacking, LOL.

I'm in the market for some new work shoes, so comfort is important. However, mine now are really not cute, even in my own opinion. So I'm hoping I can improve on them a bit. At the risk of getting kicked off this thread, I will admit that I have 3 pairs of Crocs that I love (2 of the regular style, and 1 of the slingback ballet style). :p

I love my Bass penny loafers with a 2" heel. I have to walk a few blocks from the bus stop to my office, and I hate wearing high heels over the subway grates, so I tens to avoid skinny heels. Plus, I wear a lot of pants.

I haven't really done any shoe shopping yet, since it is still warm enough here to wear my sandals and peep-toe shoes.

I'd love some boots, too, at least mid-calf but preferably just under the knee.

I just bought some Steve Madden boots last month http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7438930/color/72

Now, I haven't actually worn them because it's been too warm, but they were sooo comfortable when I tried them on. I have really big calves and I've been looking for tall black boots to go with skirts for a really long time. Nothing ever fit. These fit perfectly! I can't wait for it to get a little cooler so I can wear them.

I also bought two pairs of Uggs at the same time, so I'm all set with boots for a while.

I have a question for Ugg wearers. I've never had them before. I bought the black sweater like ones for fall. I know they won't be waterproof in any way, but I also bought the short basic ugg in the tan color. Is there a way to make them more waterproof? And what kind of coat looks best with Uggs? I recently lost weight so I need to buy a new winter coat. Any ideas?

I don't own any uggs but thinking about buying a pair. I'll be traveling to Michigan in December or January and I freeze so bad there and hate walking in the snow. I don't know that I'd be cute wearing them though.

I'm still on the look out for the perfect knee high/mid calf boot. I would like brown I think instead of black.

Ead--what kind of shoe are you looking for? Dressy? High heel? Anything specific?

Just an FYI, the boots I linked to Zappos also come in brown. They may not be what you're looking for though. Happy shopping!

Before the kids, my favorite shoes to buy were Steve Madden. I love, love, love:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc anything with a heel 3.5" or higher. I'm short so the only time I wear flats are when I have on jeans and Tims or flip-flops. I used to HATE buying shoes at Payless, I thought they were so cheap and I could do so much better,:snooty: but I honestly can't see myself buying a pair of shoes that cost more than 40-50 bucks now. But now, oh, Payless, you have grown in my eyes, the shoes are so cute nowadays...during BOGO I've gotten two pairs of high-heeled pumps in black for $11 total and two pairs of bootie boots for $50 total. Now, the shoes don't have the quality of Steve Madden (I used some of the shoes I bought there for YEARS, and I have a tendency to run my shoes into the ground), but at least I have the $ to get new shoes every season.

Here they are...

Total during BOGO - $50.00!!!

I can't find the other ones, I guess I got them both for $11 b/c they're disc.
