Have you bought a great pair of shoes recently? On the hunt for the perfect pair to set off a new outfit? Bought a pair that you hate so much you wouldn't even give to your worst enemey of mother in law? Let's talk about shoes.

I bought a pair of Clark ankle boots the other day. Today I've worn them all day and walked everywhere and stood in front of class. My feet are not blistered or throbbing at all. It really is amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this pair of boots. I have them in brown and thinking about going back for the black pair so I can wear with black slacks.

Now I'm on the hunt for a pair of knee high/mid calf boots to wear with skirts. I used to have a pair and they gave up the ghost. I'm pretty picky in shoes and they also have to be wide enough to get around my calf muscles. Any suggestions? Do you have a favorite pair? Where did you get them and do you remember how much they cost?

Anyone else enjoy shoes? Come on shoe people lets talk.

You started this thread at NIGHT? :confused3

You do realize that Briarmom is sleeping right now, right? ;)

I was kinda thinking the same thing!:rotfl:

I need new work shoes. But I'm picky...I'll probably just buy the same style/brand/color I bought before. I got them at Bass Pro and they are about $40. They're kinda ugly (Briarmom would not approve) but they are comfortable.

I hate shoe shopping...I wish I could live in sneakers/athletic shoes.

I have such a hard time buying shoes. I can't wear heals of any size and since I've got such a wide foot, most everything that I like doesn't come in my size. For the most part I can't even buy shoes in a regular shoe store. Thank God for Zappos and their free shipping both ways!

I have to say that most of my shoes are Clarks, although the last pair I bought were plain old Keds.

Shoes are a huge addiction for me.......
Coming home after a show sale with a shopping bag must release some chemicals in my brain because I could float home!!!!!:cloud9:

Shall we see how long it takes until Bomb shows up? :lmao:

I suck at shoe shopping. Suck. I've been looking for the perfect pair of tennis shoes (or is it sneakers :confused3 ) for, I kid you not, 2 YEARS.

I really love shoes. Zappos is one of my favorite on line stores. I can understand Imelda Marcos.:rotfl:

Have 6 pairs of UGG boots.:rolleyes1 Just love UGGS.

With the exception of Tina's OP and NEVERENOUGHWDW the responses so far may drive Bomb to drinking more than coffee when she wakes up!

You know, I do still need a pair of the Crocs Mammoth's. I never got them last year and winter is approaching. . .

I just today bought a pair of Born clog-boot things. Don't know the correct word for them--- I am so not a shoe person.

However, just b/c someone mentioned it- I bought them while wearing my high heeled Crocs. :lmao:

The shoes that I wear almost daily now to work are onesoles (www.onesoles.com-no I don't work there, although I should with the amount of business I've sent them). I can't even express how comfortable these shoes are, and I can just change the tops to make them match any outfit. The strappies are good for a change, too. I had my plain black tops monogrammed and am forever getting complimented on them, especially that pair. Ordering from the website allowed me to order a few extra tops that were on clearance.

My other recent purchase was a pair of rainbow flip flops, a new style, the west cape (aka west camo). Fabulous!

Shoes…a subject near and dear to my heart! It is my firm belief that there is nothing so bad in this life that a new pair of shoes can’t make it at least just a little bit better.

I believe that many women don’t fully appreciate the art of new shoes and that must be why they can’t feel the joy. First you must wander among the shoes, waiting for a pair to speak to you. Then you must look at the shoes from every angle and finally….try them on. To go directly to trying them on is to shortcut and undermine the whole process. Then when you and your new shoes have found each other, you take them home. It is so sad to see women make the tragic mistake of actually wearing them out of the store. You must take them home and place them in a place of prominence so that they can be viewed by you every few minutes. Before going to bed, you must place them on your nightstand in order to ensure that they will be the first thing you see when you awaken the next morning.

After a minimum of 24 hours of this shoe reverence, you wear them….but only inside your home. This process can take as long as a week. Your new shoes will tell you when it is time to venture outside the house. You have only to listen carefully. If you want your shoes to be a faithful friend to you, then you must first be a friend to your shoes.

Unless of course, you need them to wear that night. In which case, you must of course wear them right away!

Thanks for the heads-up. I can't believe there's old folklore about shoes that I haven't heard of. As long as my bedroom nightstand doesn't count as a table, I think I can live with this one.

If Snoopy/Junie Jay were still able to post, :(Tina, she could share some things about shoes. One of her favorite little pleasures in life.

Hope all is well with you, Tina.

My spouse calls this very important step "petting the shoes". LOL. :lmao:

I have pretty much exhausted the Coach purse market so now I am onto their shoes. The spouse just bought me 2 pairs for my bday (today!) - black flats with a satin bow, and black hi top sneakers with leopard print lining!

I am also getting into Uggs. I bought a pair of the crocheted boots last year (great for the girls with bigger calves) and am coveting the Cardy style this year. Do I need them? Puh-lease? LOL.

OOH - last thing. I bought a pair of Ed Hardy sneakers with skulls on them a few weeks ago. I am way too old for them, but they make me feel young and hip! ;)
