Ladies, is LuLaRoe popular in your area/with your friends?

I don't know how popular it is in my area but I did actually see 2 different women in the last few days wearing and Irma with leggings so I think it's catching on. I have many military wife friends (I'm a former military wife) and 2 close friends sell it and several other friends I'm not as close with so I have several items. Right now my favorite is the Lucy skirt, I have a black lace one I wear with a top tucked in and since I'm short I can wear it high on my waist and it looks like dress. It's my favorite go to outfit right now. I just got another Lucy skirt but I'm in the middle of moving hell and it's packed up somewhere. I love the leggings and I'm a big girl and still wear the patterns in public. I have a pair with Rhinos on them because my husband loves rhinos and that was his nickname in high school, he swears he's going to steal them to wear this winter around the house lol

I have 2 Cassie skirts, a perfect top and a classic, 3 Irmas, a Lola, 2 Lucy skirts, and several pairs of leggings probably 6 or so. It helps that I get the family discount from my best friend to feed the addiction.

I wanted to love the Ana because I adore maxi dresses but it was not flattering on my particular body type. I haven't tried any of the other skirts or dresses but the Amelia dresses are so pretty, just haven't seen a design I love in my size.

It's pretty popular in my area. I've got a couple pairs of the leggings but I don't like the tops or dresses.

Never heard of it but I'm fairly certain they're not after the same demographic as AARP is. ;)

It is popular here in western Mass-almost to the point of being oversaturated. I have a few pieces myself, but am pretty picky about the patterns.

Pretty popular in my area. I'm pregnant, and many women have recommended it to me because I guess it's common to "live in leggings" when your pregnant nowadays. From a modesty standpoint, I am not comfortable wearing leggings like they're pants. I feel uncomfortable wearing yoga pants to the gym. I only own leggings for around the house and occassionally to wear under dresses.

I never really knew about them selling anything but leggings until recently. Dresses with thicker fabric sound nice, but if it's on the pricey side, I'll pass. I'm also not big into patterns, I like classic pieces that I can wear for years.

I definitely only wear leggings in public with a long long shirt that covers everything. Irmas are perfect for that :)

I just bought my first lola to wear to WDW in 10 days. Red polka dot with a black waistband! I'm wearing it with a tank top that says "Meet me on main street" with a mickey balloon on it. I can't wait!

I eon't do business with any company that uses the "party-rep" sales model. Too many people who try to make a living doing that get burned badly by the cost of set-up.

In the last two weeks, it's exploded here. Literally, I got 4 "pop-up shop" invites and I don't even like that many people. It's like the Jamberry explosion of 2014 up in my Facebook.

Whoever mentioned super soft leggings on Amazon, please share the brand. I'd like soft leggings but for personal reasons, I don't do MLMs.

I have a few tops. I have fat calves so I won't wear leggings.

I found the sizing odd - I have a small a medium & an XL top. All different styles, but I found it strange.

I'm not a fan of prints with stripes or polka-dots. Keep it simple! One print & the rest of the outfit should be solid.

I don't own any yet, but two friends just started selling so I'm sure I'll own some leggings soon. I also like the Randy tops!

I totally get where you're coming from but on the flip side, there are people who start up businesses that require millions in start up or franchising capital, that still get burned in a declare bankruptcy kinda way. Ah, capitalism :)

Sorry but that made me laugh. Really.

In MLM companies, the only people making any money are the ones at the top. In fact, 99% of those entering, lose money. (Yes, it is a statistical fact. It only takes a second to find on Google.)

It is a numbers game, and the numbers just don't work.

Yes. I have a couple dresses and a pair of leggings. I haven't work the leggings yet as it is still 105! I am in AZ and it seems to be everywhere.

Yes. I have two pairs of solid (plain black and olive green) leggings and my mom had the same black leggings and a top (black and white striped). I like some of the tops and the solid leggings are great (I have only worn the green pair so far... It has still been pretty hot here in MA) but I would never buy the patterned leggings as I don't like patterns on my lower half.

There are some people that sell it around here. I personally don't think it looks very good. And I'm not a fan of MLMs but to each his own.
I had to do some googling to see the product (the lularoe website is pretty bad, IMO). There's literally nothing there I'd wear except plain black leggings. The dresses and t-shirts and sweaters/vests (what they're calling cover-ups) look, er, well, like styles I've seen at WalMart*. Maybe OK for casual wear if they only cost a couple of bucks but nothing I'd even consider paying real money for.

**I shop at WalMart all the time and have a number of pieces of clothing from there - I'm not dissing it on that level. Just that in general, it does not look like an upscale clothing line AT ALL and seems grossly over-priced.

Surprised by the critical responses. I came to this thread to learn a little about this company...not to see who likes MLM and why. The OP Didnt ask for that opinion either.

And one of the things that you learned was that this company is an MLM company.

And you might have learned why there are many people that don't purchase anything from a company like that because of those types of companies are run.

I think that is just as important as information about how many people actually wear the clothes.

My cousin sells it so I am actually wearing a new Randy today. IDK what I think of it. The fit is a little snug for being my usual size but it's a cute top. I want to get leggings at some point but she does flash sales and so far I have not been able to get the ones I want in my size.
