I have always been in November before and wore my trainers everyday which were perfectly comfortable and adequate!

However ... This year it is August and I think my little feet will get way to hot in trainers.

What do you all recommend. I am a little prone to blisters so a flat ballet pump is not going to be an option.

I would love to hear any suggestions.

I cannot stress enough how comfortable my Crocs Cleos are. I wore them every single day, without fail, in October and I never had any problems with my feet at all. And I do think the Cleos are the less ugly younger sister of your standard Caymans/Beach Crocs.

I wear beach sandals like merrell or teva, not the prettiest but definately the comfiest. Occassionally I will wear my croc flip flops but not for a full day in a park

I took with me crocs, clarks air sandals, regular flip flops, and fit flops.

I wore my clarks sandals on our first day, got as far as splash mountain and had to stop to put on plasters!! :sad2:

Second day I wore fit flops (which my mum had lent me) I wore them pretty much every day from then on, and my feet never hurt once. About a week in I felt guilty for wearing my Mum's new shoes all the time, so I bought some Mickey ones form the AKL shop, just as comfy even from brand new.

LOVE my fit flops. They are all I'm taking for my next trip. Although my croc mary janes are comfy too!

Torsie

Do you mean you got Mickey fit flops or Crocs??

i live in my birkenstocks year round, including at WDW..

no way could i wear anything but birkies in the dog days of summer...
my feet and I would be way too hot with anything else...

but word of warning, they HAVE to be broken in before you get to WDW or you WILL get blisters...

whatever you wear, make sure you've worn them before you do the mileage at WDW...

Reef flip flops for me, wear them all day every day (in july), never had a problem!

Agree totally with Joh! I have been wearing my cleos for the past few yrs in florida and here at home- they are the most comfortable things ever! and there not ugly :rotfl2:

I must be the odd one out as I wear trainers even in summer.

What I do wear to protect against blisters and heat are coolmax socks:

Rucanor - 2 Pairs of Coolmax Tennis / Trainer / Crew Socks
(Not specifically these ones, they're just an example)

The moisture wicking properties mean my feet are cool and blister free. :)

Ouch! that last bit sounded a way too much like a commercial didn't it? ;)

I went first two weeks of Sept in 2009 and wore fit-flops virtually everyday.

Whilst my full Nike Air's were comfy - they do get hot and I am prone to athletes foot so the fit-flops were by far a better option for me.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I am going to give my Fit Flops another go. I wore them most of last summer and they were great. Went to Turkey on holiday and I got blisters everywhere!!!

I am loving the idea of the Mickey Fit Flops though! I think you must only be able to get them there as I have google searched and searched and no where has them. You can't see it but I am stamping my foot now!!!!

Last September I variated between sneakers, sketchers but the open variety (see picture below) and mickey crocs. I know Crocs don't exactly look nice at all, but they are soooo comfy, dry up in an instant when it rains (I had nice dry feet after a shower within minutes whereas DH with his sneakers had squishy feet for a long time). Oh, and it's the Mickey variety, slightly less worse.

Another flip flops vote but I literally live in flip flops from March-Nov lol

I wore my fit flops for the full 2 weeks and never had a problem but I had worn them in before I went.

However, I do find them very slippy when wet. It only rained once but if it had rained more I wouldn't have worn them as I think they're dangerous.

I loved the Disney Fit Flops and might get a paid next time we go.

what are fit flops?

not that i'll get them - nothing will get me out of my birkies, but i'm curious what they are..

I normally switch between my Pikolinos and Josef Siebel(?) sandals - and also wear my Croc flip flops:)
