Ladies, how much do you spend...

mine are about $40 a piece! I hate spending that kind of money on "just" bras too, on the other hand...I want them to be comfortable, and well, you get what you pay for! I try to look for sales, and then buy one or two!

i'm a 32B and i'm the one who said that VS is rarely carrying that size anymore. all of the 32's are being pulled just about. they claim that there isn't a big demand for that size, which, i find offensive because they have plenty of every other size bra.

Well that is just crap! Yet another store making it difficult for women to find things that fit them.

As for the padding issue, I agree. I don't need padding. Don't put it in my bra.

oh i know. i made a HUGE deal about that, too! because i called their customer service line once i heard that they weren't really going to carry anymore of the 32 sizes. the woman made me feel like a complete fool over the phone, too. she said that maybe if enough people complained about it, that they would start sending more sizes back to the store, but until then i would have to buy them off the internet.

oh, ok. it's already bad enough that i spend about $50 on a bra, then i have to spend another $10 for shipping because they don't want to carry them in the stores!?

it's bad enough bra shopping when you don't got a whole lot going on up top, and then for them to say "well we don't carry your size anymore because there's not enough of a demand for it" makes you feel even worse.

I don't know how, but all the women in my fam are big chested. I am a 34F, yes I said F and no they are not fake! LOL...I hate them :sad1:
Actually I had gone through referral and consultation to get a reduction but then we decided to try to have another baby so that's on hold for a while, anyway my point is, yes I spend about 40 to 60 on a bra, I can't find anything supportive and nice at any place but Fredericks of Hollywood, but they are fantastic!! A good bra is important, not only for the support of your chest, but for your back and neck as well!!

I'm paying about $44 for bras at VS. I'm a 36 C and I find that their bras fit me the best. I'll pay good money for the girls to be comfy!!!!!! :rotfl: I don't want any sagging or bagging around here :scared1:

I buy mine at Wal-Mart @ 12$. But, after time the wire will break and my husband tells me to buy the more expensive ones, but I think they all would snap eventually. Do the expensive ones last and keep shape longer?

:offtopic: In 9th grade, my first year of high school my bra actually broke in the middle of cooking class! :rolleyes1

It was the type of bra that clasps in the front instead of the back...Anyway my parents had just gotten back from Hawaii the night before and when I called my Mother to see if she could bring me another one she didn't want to get out of bed :sad2:

I was wearing a LIGHT PINK SEMI-TIGHT shirt so anybody would definitely be able to tell that I wasn't wearing one...ANYWAY the boy who liked me actually took the piece of the bra that fell on the floor  and took a safety pin and pinned it to his jeans. :rolleyes1

Needless to say that experience tramatized me for life and I learned the importance of an expensive, well made bra!! :teeth:

And P.S. My mother did end up bringing the bra after much nagging...:sad2: At first the school security told her "You aren't allowed to bring items to the school that students forgot" but when my mom explained she quickly called my teacher to tell me to come to the front office. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I wear Ipex from VS. I think they are around $50, but I try to buy during the semi-annual clearance sales and if I've got a coupon, so that knocks between 20-50% off.

I don't need the padding, but do like the very light padding they have to prevent NP's. DH think the Ipex bras take ten years off my boo-bah's, so IMHO that's priceless!

Well, if I had spent the money for implants, I'm not sure I'd complain about the money for bras, hehe. They are worth the money to maintain the investment!

As for me...I get maidenform bras at the outlet for $12 each, but I'm a 34C and they are easy to find.

Like I mentioned earlier, I wear VS Ipex. They are expensive, but in the two years or so since I've been wearing them (I bought one the day they came out!) I've yet to have one have a wire pop through or break. I figure on average I've worn each of them 75 times. They all look exactly like they did the day I bought them. No pilling, no bent wires, no loss of color or dinginess. I wash them on delicate in my front loader and hang them to dry. So yes, IMHO spending more is worth it.

And like I said earlier, my DH thinks they make my boo-bah's look younger, so that's worth every penny! :cloud9: :thumbsup2

I too buy VS bras. I wait until the Semi-Annual sale so I end up spending about $20-$25 each, and they really do last a long time. I've never had a VS bra break or wire pop out. About 6 months ago I did buy some Barely There bras at Kohl's for about $15 each. I like them too but VS are my favorite. I'm a 36D so padding isn't necessary but light padding never hurts!

question where do you get one of them smilelys thats say "this thread is worthless without pics" ?

$16.95 Playtex.
I am "blessed" and there is one style they make that is quite comfortable and gives good support.

I'm a 32C, and rarely can you find that size anywhere except the higher end dept. stores. Not sure why, but it's a hard to find that size. Not even VS has that size, I can't wear anything in that store! It just sucks to spend that kind of money on stuff like that. I'm really thinking of taking them back.

C&S,

Have you tried Ross? I have had luck there finding high-end bras at GREAT prices. Now, you will have to pick through A LOT of bras, but I am on the opposite spectrum of you and have had luck finding really good Bali minimizers there for only $7! They have more high-end brands but the rub is that you have to search. If you've got the time, you can save some $$.

Your prices do sound about right for high-end retail, though.

Edited to add... I just checked VS online and they have plenty of 32 band sizes and cup sizes so I would keep my eye on there and wait for a sale. They do seem to have a lot of sales! Good luck! I am "amply" endowed and can't wear VS anymore. Boo hoo!

I've been buying them at Target lately since these things won't stop growing and I have to buy new ones every few weeks! I think I pay around $11.99 each and they are pretty comfy and look decent, not that anyone sees them LOL.

I was talking to my friend about this the other day. Smaller cup sizes, padding ok. Larger cup sizes, not needed. If Im a DDD, I do not, I repeat, do not need padding to make them look fuller and bigger. I've already been able to do that naturally thank you. Just give me a bra to make them perky and I will be just fine.

I think the extra padding is to prevent "headlights" ;)

Went and got two new bras a while back and got a "cheap" one for $35 and a more expensive one for $75

It is hard to find my cup size but getting easier thanks to Oprah doing her bra shows lol...

I have a small size also, and I buy mine from Victoria Secret. Usually about $40-45 each, but I have been known to find them on sale.....

I'm a "Specialty Size" and yes I'm 100% natural at a 42KK. ( the titty fairy LOVED me) But I digress, I spend on average $75 to $100 a peice for mine. I buy one or two at a time and PRAY they last a year. The best I've found are from Fantasie, and even then I have to sacrifice, as they don't carry my actualy size. *cries* This would be why I prefer Corsetry. Ah well I can't have everything.

Sorry Papa Duce, No Photos here. I'd offer to post a corset pic, but I think I'd get points for that. :P

Did you try Gap Body? They have a very easy "size-search feature" that will pull up every style they have in that size.
