Any ladies wear exercise leggings in the parks? I've started wearing them in the gym at home, and they are so comfortable that I think I want to wear them on our trip in November. For anyone who wears them, what are some brands you recommend or places to look for some reasonably priced ones? The ones I have now are from TJ Maxx but they tend to fall down on my waist when I move, so I'd like better quality ones that will stay put!

And so I'm clear, I'm talking about the moisture wicking/running style legging capris, such as Nike, Under Armour, etc.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I wear a lot of Athleta and Zella (Nordstrom's own brand) they both have really cute workout clothes.

I like Lululemon Wunder Under Crops! I see you live near me, we just got a Lulu store in the mall. They are seriously the most comfortable leggings/workout pants I've ever worn!

Hmmm... careful, or ya might end up on a blog like this one:

Personally I would not do it unless my shirt covered my rear end. :)

Websites like that make me really mad. What the hell gives anyone the right to judge someone at all let alone because of what they are wearing, especially on vacation. Poo Poo to the originator of that blog. :furious:

Wear what makes you feel good and what is comfy and obviously appropriate for the parks. You don't want to get tossed out for violating Disney's dress code. :scared:

I haven't found workout leggings that I feel comfy in yet but if I did and they kept me cool, you bet your sweet honey pot that i'd be wearing them.

If I had a butt that looked like that I would have no problems wearing that outfit!

Honestly, in the parks, wear whatever you are comfortable in. If people don't like what you are wearing, well, they shouldn't be looking at you anyways.

As for leggings, Lululemon are the most comfortable and stretchiest that I've ever worn but they are also some of the most expensive. I've actually found great ones at Costco that are super comfortable, stretchy and won't cost $$ for stuff that you sweat in.

I plan to wear t-shirts, so they're fairly long. Besides, I don't see what's see grotesque about the woman in the second pic? It's not like she's overweight and squeezing into leggings :confused3

Good tip, thanks! I know exactly which store/mall you mean :thumbsup2

I had a hysterectomy in April and am still dealing with a swollen belly. I live in work out type pants.

I found some at Walmart of all places that are great. I don't like the fitted ones so much. The ones I have are capri length, and a loose fit style. They aren't as tight around my booty area (I'm not a small girl :) ).

I doubt I will be able to wear much else in October, especially with all the walking I will do. I see nothing wrong with the picture, if I had a butt like hers I would be wearing those things everywhere!

I would suggest going to a specialty running store. I bought a great pair from the Running Room. They're a really cool material (think parachute from the 80's.. lol). They dry really quickly if they get wet, they aren't hot, they're stretchy and they have pockets!

This is basically the standard daytime uniform for moms in my neighborhood for everyday and it has been for years. I think it's perfect for a day in the parks ... WDW is definitely a workout! Lol!

My bum does NOT compare to the woman in the picture and I plan to bring along a pair!!

You can find nice ones that are relatively cheap at places like Walmart & Target!

I personally get most, if not all of my workout/dance wear at Lululemon. It's expensive but BOY does it last! (and this comes from someone who spends hours in the dance studio/gym and wears it practically everyday) I find it's super awesome for the theme parks because of the "wet-dry-warm" thing it does. Whether you get wet on a ride, from the rain or from being sweaty, it usually doesn't show on the clothing, it dries quickly and keeps ya more warm!

Disney is very big on marathons as we all know! There is nothing wrong with running clothes! I run every day and that is my daily choice of clothing! In 90 degree weather i do not wear a long shirt to cover my bum so to anyone who thinks that I am trying to show it off, fell free to take pics and post it on your stupid websight;)

I bought a pair of Capri style yoga/workout pants at Lucy. A bit pricey but they do run sales. I have to say- comparing them to my pair from Target- they're amazing. I plan to wear mine on our trip in October!!

I really like VS Pink's yoga capris. I would recommend their thicker options though, as I've seen my fair share of rear ends at the gym due to see through yoga pants! Under Armor also has some cute ones in all kinds of prints and colors.

Put on your leggings and go outside in BRIGHT sunlight. If there are not see-thru in that kind of light, then you are good to go and enjoy yourself! :thumbsup2
True story: I saw a young mom at Disneyland recently with leggings that became see-thru when she was in the bright sunlight. I'm sure she didn't realize it and there is no way I would ever approach a stranger to tell such a thing. I'm a chicken...

I don't have a problem with people's rear ends in yoga/jogging leggings it's the front view. And it's not only women who wear tight running pants off the race course.

Seems like everyone wants to hit the library after the gym/jogging track.

I don't care if people wear them but for the love of god, wear a shirt that covers your crotch.

(I say this because I work at a desk and when you walk in my eyeline is right there and I can't tell you how many times I've given myself whiplash jerking my head up to avoid the view as they walk towards me)

No way! They are too hot for summer in Florida, go for title 9 skorts, they're the Most comfortable thing on earth!
