Thanks for the replies.
Apparently my cyst was not infected or abcessed, it did NOT hurt beforehand, and once the doctor cut into the gland, he found it was filled with blood and blood clot, which he then DUG OUT of the gland.
I'm basically upset right now because I have no idea whether he should've even put the balloon catheter in, since the gland/cyst was filled with blood and not fluid or pus. (I don't know this doctor well enough to trust his judgement, and I can't find anything about this on the internet). I'm also thinking that I probably should've just left the cyst alone since it was not causing me any pain or discomfort. And finally, I have no idea what the expect as far as how long I'm supposed to be feeling pain/discomfort from this catheter! The catheter is supposed to stay in for a MONTH!
I have so many questions, such as, will I eventually not feel any pain or discomfort, as the month goes on? Surely I can't function like this for an entire month. I guess most of my questions will get answered once I call the doctors in the morning, I was just wondering if anyone else had gone through this specific experience before or not.
Thanks again for the replies.
