Ladies, ever get your eyebrows threaded?

I did today...it is a way of removing hair and shaping the eyebrow, but with a very tight thread...I'm really not sure exactly how it is done, but thread is the only thing she used...anyway, it HURT!! :headache:

But the results are beautiful! I would definetly endure the pain again!

Anyone else ever get this done? Do I just tweeze any regrowth now? (I'm new to the whole eyebrow grooming thing.)

I think I saw this on Oprah. It was wild. I wonder, how is this better than the old tweezer or wax method?

Yes - I have had it done as well.

And - my oh my - it hurt worse than waxing. Yes, just tweeze the regrowth. Or go back for further threading. I just reverted back to waxing with the occasional tweeze.

I have had this done many times. Waxing leaves me with little dots for days. Hurts more but it's better than the bumps for me.

Myst

WOW...This sounds interesting. Will do more research. I love nice eyebrows.:goodvibes

I did it one time and I swore never again. That hurt like heck. What us women do to be beautiful!!!!!!!!

I get it done all the time by a woman from India. She comes from a long line of women who do it from I understand. She does a fantastic job in less than 2 minutes, no pain to speak of, and only $8.00! Doesn't get much better than that! :thumbsup2

The only bad part is that the TV in the shop plays soap operas from India non-stop and I cannot understand a single word they are saying. They look so interesting too...

Interesting. My brother had asked me last year when I went visit him in Los Angeles if I wanted to get that done but, I told him no because I had just gotten mine waxed. Now, I am intrigued and going to look for a place where I am from. My gal that used to do my brows had carpal tunnel surgery last year and has not returned and I am dying for some perfect brows.

I have never heard of it. I just got mine waxed last week, and I am really upset with the way they turned out -- I should post a photo. She spent forever waxing and tweezing the one side, and afterwards I could see why -- she removed half my eyebrow! Literally, there is no arch on the one side, just a straight line. Luckily, my hair dips down and covers it on that side, so no one will see it for a while. My husband is calling me a Vulcan!

I know how you feel! I had mine waxed once and I guess she was REALLY protecting me from a uni-brow because she took WAY too much off between my eyes. I am still working on growing this out right. It is taking forever because I go ahead and pluck the re-growth because it grosses me out!
