I wouldn't at a local park, but what if DH takes a picture of me & Mickey that will hang in our living room forever?

I can't decide if I should wear it or not. I don't wear a lot - just base, powder and a little blush. But will I sweat it off? Ewwwwwwwwwwwww....

Help?!

I did the first time I went; after that, nope! I know that some women go through the whole routine, but, for the life of me, I can't understand how they can keep it on. Unless you're going in January or February, you WILL perspire. The most important thing on your face is sunblock--and be careful with this too. Use the type that won't run into your eyes when you sweat.
Lip balm and/or lipgloss. Just remember, whatever you put on your face, is likely to be wiped off once you start feeling the strength of the sun. I feel much more comfortable just with sunblock and lipgloss, (and big sunglasses!)
Just my humble opinion.

I ALWAYS wore make-up to the parks.........my husband would gently tell me that I had streaks of my foundation running down my cheeks from sweat (very attractive). Not to mention my waterproof mascara failure........

This past August trip I traveled alone with my 13 year old daughters and I said "no way am I bothering with make-up this trip...I'm usually in very few pictures since I am the camera person anyway.........what's the downside here?" Who am I trying to impress? I even gave up on my hair. The frizzies in Florida humidity are a war I've battled with for years and never won.

The feeling was soooo liberating.....and time saving. :cool1: I would just slap on some facial sunscreen, and we were out the door each morning in record time.

However.......I did not, in my wildest dreams......think I would ever be in the hot seat in Millionaire on probably my most horrid-looking day. The screen is huge!!! :earseek: I couldn't look at myself even though the host said we wouldn't proceed with the game until I gazed at myself in my full splotchy, shiny unmade up and frizzed up glory (my words not his). I was a horrible sight and was embarressed at the 25 foot close up of myself for all to see.

At least I didn't have raccoon eyes or stripes of foundation running down my face.......just me. ;)

I am sorry... I don't go to the bathroom without putting on my make up :rotfl: !!I don't refresh during the day unless we have dinner somewhere!! I just try to avoid the mirrors especially after splash :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!

I love my Bare Minerals!! I know its an infomercial, and on QVC, and I was mesmerized by the commercial, went to an Ulta store, tried it, and LOVED what it did, I have bad face discolartion, not even the makeup for "scars" would help!!

Bare Essentials eye makeup is stunning, but it doesnt last as long, in the summer - maybe its all my eye rubs!! and I do have to touch up - because of the "shine" factor, but the base coat doesnt streak, it does wonders for me!!

I too wear my makeup in the parks. Without it I wouldn't want to see a picture of myself, say nothing of having these pictures passed around the family!

Just like with many things, it is a matter of personal taste. I don't like how I look without makeup so I wear makeup. I do wear waterproof eye make-up so no raccoon eyes for me!

Have a great time! :sunny:

I always use a moisturizer with sunscreen. Then I "powder my nose", put on lipstick and I'm out the door. I refresh the lipstick after meals, but that's it.

I don't do the whole nine yards like I do at home, but I do wear some. I mix foundations with moisturizer and wear that, blush, powder, mascara and lip gloss with sunblock. I am looking forward to our December trip and being able to look halfway decent without having to worry about being shiny!

I, too, wear make-up at the parks. I wouldn't dream of not doing it. Nothing fancy...just a little powder, eyeliner, and mascara. Shoot, I would feel naked without it.

I always wear my makeup, all of it, base, power, blush. eyes, liner, mascara, and lips. I just don't feel dressed without it. And I never considered not wearing it. We've gone in early Nov, Jan, April and May and I've never had a problem with it "melting". Maybe its just because I "melt" pretty easy so we don't go very fast and go inside to airconditioning a lot when its hot. I wear MAC and have never had a problem

I wear the same as I do at home: mascara, lip liner, lipstick and powder.

oh yeah, I wear the Color Stay Lipstick - the 8 hour stuff - it totally works, I believe its Revlon's line, where the "stain" is on top, and the "moisture/gloss" is on the bottom half -

its drying in dry weather, but that stuff stays!! (so I call it 'stain"!!) :rotfl:

Years ago I would wear the make-up ... I even had to put on make-up before I went to give birth! Now I only wear make-up for occasions ... going out for dinner, church, etc. And besides, make-up is one less thing to have to pack!

Absolutely! One year I accidentally left my makeup bag at home. It was on the bath counter and I forgot to throw it in the suitcase.
I was bummed! DH felt sorry for me and thought for sure I could buy makeup in one of the parks. I had to explain to him that what I wear isn't sold in the parks. If we'd had a car I swear I would have left the World to find a department store. I look really tired in all the pictures, but we still had a good time.

I wear a base with sunscreen, but that's it. Although, other than that & blush, I don't wear anything else---my eyes are too sensitive for make-up.

I'd wear just sunscreen, but haven't found one yet that doesn't make me break out.

I tried the make-up thing on my first trip to WDW - never again! Now I stick to my sunscreen moisturizer, waterproof mascara, and sunscreen tinted lipglaze (Almay - not shiny but just enough color - love it!). This way, my face doesn't look totally naked, but I look refreshed and natural.
