Ladies---camera bag as 'purse'

I just recently purchased a digital camera The camera bag is small and compact and will definitly fit my ID card, hotel key card, tickets, and money...does anyone think it is a good idea to use this as my purse for when I am in the parks???

I do...I would hate to carry a camera AND a purse. That's just too much. I actually don't carry a purse in the parks, but have a small flat pouch that I tuck into my pants to no one can even see it. That way, we always have some money and our tickets, even if Dh's wallet got lost or stolen. If I had to carry a camera bag anyway, and everything would fit into it, I would do that...just make sure you strap that bag across your chest so it won't disappear!!

I have used my camara case as a small purse. I have not kids and don't bring a lot to the parks. It fits everything I need. Camara, FPs, Room card, Credit card and cash! I love it! I clip it on my belt and am hands free for my park advenutres! If you are one who doesn't need a lot of extras it will work great!

This is exactly what I did the last 2 trips. Worked out GREAT! I have a small pocket size digital camera. While in WDW in January I purchased a small Disney camera bag (not the smallest, the next size up) It has some extra room in the bag to fit a little more then the camera (such as my inhaler & some tylenol) plus it has an outside zippered pocket to hold room key, id, etc. I just carried over my shoulder and when going on any rides slipped it over my head, across my body so that I didn't have to worry about dropping it. It also has a loop on the back so that I can slip it on my belt if I so choose. I plan on using it again on my October trip (and probably everyother trip )

I have a super small digital in a super small camera bag which I fit into my small messenger type bag that I use in the parks to hold my essentials. I prefer not to use a camera bag as a purse because I would be afraid something would hit the camera. I have had small sunscreen bottles open, lip balms melt in the heat and I wouldnt want to have those items in with the camera.

Thanks ladies! I think that I will use my camera bag as a purse! The belt clip idea is actually very good too! Hope everyone has a wonderful trip
