Ladies, anyone have a good concealer

What kind do you want? I have a book that has all kinds of suggestions.
Do you want it to be matte and stay on all day? That may be the ones that make your undereye look dry. Or it could be the powder you might use.

You'll have to tell me a little bit of what you are doing, your skin and so forth and I may be able to help.

The ones that moisturize are great, but they crease and go away too fast.

You will need to work on why that area is dry.

It's not dry if I JUST wear my foundation...but if I add concealer (I use Origins) then it looks dry. I do use eye cream also. I would like it to last all day if possible.

Okay, from the book I have about the origins concealers.
The Original skin concealer is pretty good, but it's slightly shiny which may make it look dry.

The Easy Blend concealer, it says is better, smoother, but it may crease. Dusting a little powder on it would prevent that.

I don't have any experience with either so this is just what I've just read. Does any of this make sense so far?

I use Estee Lauder's Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup. It comes in a blue tube and is simply wonderful! Use under the eye or on any blemishes on the face. I try to use only the best products out there and this one is my favorite. I do use foundation as well. Never had I had the "dry look" from it.

This product is highly recommended! Let me know if you try it.

Lancome has products for dry skin that I have liked using. I never thought I could wear makeup without looking flaky.

Lancome's Photogenic liquid foundation ($30) covers well and I rarely need to wear powder. It is formulated for dry skin. I discovered their line when they offered a free gift about two years ago. I was shopping for a new concealer for some acne scarring and this is the clerk suggested Maquicomplet ($22). I couldn't believe how well it covered, and how it brightened my eyes when she applied it to my eyelids. It was the first time I could wear concealer only and feel like I was covered, but not look like I was wearing makeup. It's a good thing I get an employee discount that saved me $$, otherwise I would never pay that kind of money for makeup. Plus the free gifts are valued around $25 (quad eyeshadow, mascara, two lipsticks, cosmetic bag and usually some skin treatment) It has been worth it and I will continue to shop the line during promotions only.

Check their
website for more products.

This may be too much for your needs but I use Covermark and you can visit their website at www.covermark.com .

I have black/melanin birthmark that covers 1/4 of my face. Quite nasty-looking and I have worn this make-up for over 30 years. It is water-proof, even during swimming and torrential rain storms. It covers port wine stains and I'll bet that nobody who has ever meet me at DIS meets had a clue that my make-up was heavy-duty. It has literally changed my life. Nobody stares at my face or remembers me as that poor lady with the mark.

A couple of years ago I went with my DH to a business meeting at the Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach. They have a very high class salon there and I decided to treat myself to a cosmetic consultation. When I made the appointment, I explained that I had a birthmark and needed to get tips on how to make it work better for me. When I arrived, the specialist was a bit distant. As I removed my make-up, his eyes widened and he even gasped slightly. At the end of the session, he asked for the name of the product. It's that good!

Unfortunately, I did not follow good skin techniques when I was younger and my skin is now wrinkled from the daily applications of thick make-up. That's OK with me. If I had to choose between wrinkles and a nasty face, I'll gladly take the wrinkles.

BTW, they also make leg-make up. Never used it but I know that their products are all good.
