so does the chart include tax??

OK there has to be more to it - I was looking at the All Stars - Music & Sports are still higher than what I would pay my booking right now (MOvies is alot higher)
it has got to be something per person for the 3rd & 4th person to be charged even higher - I"m wondering if dining is the case (or Mickey Ears or gift cards that only work in the parks??)

I really think the occupancy is strange. If those rtes are only room, why the strange differences for a triple or quad?

Unfortunately, for my group (3 rooms) the room prices on that spreadsheet are higher than my 10% off AAA rate I am booked with. There are 3 in one room and 5 in another. Even with the ticket savings, it would not be much of a savings.

Hopefully there is more to this than I am seeing? It's possible I am just not looking at it right.

Anyway, thanks for the info "danny25" and your patience with all of us. I will definitely pester the CM's on January 3 and check it out!

Yes, Movies is usually more. Disney just uses simple supply and demand. The values usually go...

(least expensive to most expensive)

All star music
All star sports
All star movies
POP
AOA

And so on....

When I went to book (friend is TA)
Music, movies and sports were all priced the same.

I think there's a math issue? I don't think the spreadsheet includes tax. I bolded the parts that I was confused about but if your current room rate is $518 and the spreadsheet shows $507 then you're only saving $11 a night on the room - $77 savings plus the savings in taxes on the higher cost. I did the $518 * 7 + 12.5% tax and that's $4,079.25. The $3,549 would need tax added as well so $3,549 * 12.5% = $3,992.62. So the room savings is probably only $86.63.

Then the ticket discount looks like it's going to be $206. The total savings would be $292.63. If I did the math right that's only a 3% savings on the hotel.

Maybe I missed something?

editing my post since Danny has said that the prices include tax..... I'm a happy girl again! It may not be a huge discount, but it's a discount so I'm thrilled.

Danny, I truly appreciate you posting this.....

I was hoping for Free Dining, but its weird that each resort that is higher than rack rate, is a different level of higher (if that makes sense). I could understand if each resort was $50 higher than its individual rack rate - I'd be wondering what that $50 covered, but some resorts are showing on the chart as $150/night more than rack rate. Surely they won't give Free Dining and charge that amount for the privilege, its hardly worth it. For me, the discount only works out at something like 3% - Free Dining on top of that would be great but I can't imagine I'd be getting the same benefits as those already paying higher than rack rate.

When i first seen who started this thread i thought "holy smokes..he done it again!" Thank you Danny. :thumbsup2. I find it a little funny that everybody is getting upset or frustrated when the numbers dont seem right. Danny did say this is what was in the server....he did not say this is what I put in the server. Even though Danny is more trusting than the weatherman, he doesnt have all the answers. Im just happy knowing the next discount is around the corner, and im blowing the dust off my brain trying to figure this out with the info we have...like a game. I think the next thing i'll work on is the difference in price cause of room categories? Ex. Standard, garden, waterview?:confused3

Hi again and sorry if this offer is not up to your expectations, but I'm thinking the same of the most of you "what kind of offer is these" i know that in some cases it's cheaper than rack rate if you buy the discounted tickets, but it's a low percentage. Really I don't like it. Ok only to let you know 2 things, first, taxes ARE included, and second, nothing more will be included in the room price, sorry again and let's see if anything change , I swear that I let you know any modification in a second!:thumbsup2

Same as person above me, you have shown nothing but the best intentions here and have gone out of your way to help people and give whatever information you know to us !!!

I appreciate it SO much.

I still think something is up, because the price of my room rates on the spreadsheet is actually higher than rack rates, but, I know you have given us all the info you have, and for that, you have my true thanks.

Exact same thoughts here -- couldn't be happier that Danny gives us info and tries his best to answer all our questions! My r rates are also higher on the new charts than rack rate so I will be very curious to find out why!

Danny, I am grateful for your information and the fact that there will be some kind of promotion for the spring. My frustration is with Disney and their confusing rates on the spread sheet. I am glad to know that those rates include tax. When I first figured how much I would be saving on room I was adding in 11% tax and the savings came to about $380 for 7 nights. So subtracting the tax will increase our savings which is fabulous!

I didn't see a spreadsheet (??) only the percentages, etc. Danny referenced. I was just taking 30% off of my projected room total - is that incorrect???

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't notice it in the comments, but do the discounted ticket prices also include taxes?

Not following the spreadsheet - what do the letters refer to??? Help! I'm looking at 7 nights, March 18-25 ideally, at a standard room at either WL, BC or Poly.

Yay, thank you! That means the room we want has a small discount rather than a price increase, and that is better than nothing! I appreciate your patience with all of us trying to figure out what Disney is up to. I don't think anyone is mad at you for Disney's (possibly) less than stellar offer, and if they are then they are silly. ;)

I have a copy of the spreadsheet but not sure what the letters refer to and how to read the correct rates for my projected dates end of March.

Thanks for the info. I think I was able to figure out the spreadsheet for our dates and the info on tax being included in the prices. This helps with the budget! Thanks again!!!

I still hold firm that something is amiss with this spreadsheet.

We are staying at POFQ in June. Rack rate per night is $196 for a standard view room. With tax it is $220.50. Danny's spreadsheet shows $228 per night. Why on earth would it be higher??
