Ladies, A Delicate Waxing Question

I was actually looking to get this done in the very near future. I regularly get a bikini wax, but I figured i'm already there, might as well give the "full treatment" a try.

Just curious, how much does this generally cost? My reg. one is $25, but i'd figure this will probably be about $40.

The spa I went to charged $65, but they charge $35 for a regular wax.

If you do it, I'd love to hear afterwards on if you would do it again!

Suzannen,

Sure, i'll let you know. I get the feeling i'll probably be in some pain for a day, but then i'll probably want to get it done again. I've been having the regular wax done for years now, and it's one of those things I do for myself that makes me feel good. Some people get manicures, some people massages...

BTW, i've had my lip waxed, once, and that honestly hurt more than anything else i've ever had waxed...I also had my legs done once and that hurt also, but only really around the ankle.

What's funny is that i'm blond and don't really have a lot of hair on my lip anyway, so i'm not even sure why I had it done.

Probably someone who is in training for bigger things.

OMG!! Al~Alan.............. the vision of Daniel~san waxing a karatemate just popped into my mind!!!

I am still LOL...... the dog is giving me the wierdest look!!!

My wife has had it done numerous times and it is great for her and I I may add. She says the worst part about it is the nerves before the first time you get it done because she didn't know what to expect. They gave her some great cream for after and I must say soft as a babys bottom.

Are you one of those American Men jfulcer mentioned?

No I AM CANADIAN as the comercials go. I have gone with her and it seems the more you do it the better it gets no pain etc. She just takes a tylenol before hand just in case.

All I have to say is

!!!!! (that is my jaw dropping after I read what a BRAZILIAN wax was!)

I will NEVER do a Brazillian wax, but highly admire those that do =) Not for me!

I do wax my brows, upper lip, face. Do it at home =)

HOWEVER

I totally ripped apart my eyelid two days ago when I waxed at home... I'm not sure what I did exactly, but its red and HURTS and looks like someone punched me in the eye. Two friends already asked if I'm a battered wife... =)

I suppose that skin is more delicate than I thought and shouldn't be waxed repeatedly in one sitting!!!!! Live and learn.

******UPDATE*******************

Well, I did it. It really didn't hurt much more than the regular bikini wax except a bit in the front:o

They must use a special soft wax for this and in all honesty, I really like it and will probably do it again. It's not for the modest though, you literally have to sit there with your legs up in the air and your - well you can guess the rest. Lets just say they leave no hair anywhere.

Hillbeans,
WOW - you did it! I commend your bravery.

I recently met another woman who had done it and said the hardest part for her was trying to stay in the "yoga-like" position the waxer put her in and not falling off the table! I have heard the more you do it, the less painful it gets.

So, that gives me two reasons (excuses) to not do this:
1) I would get totally embarrassed
2) I'm really terrible at yoga!

Thanks for coming back with the report. I'm sure I'd probably like the "end" result, but I think I'd have to have had massive amounts of alcohol to actually get me to try it.

Oh my! Um, I can say this is one thing I won't be trying anytime soon.

:worship: Hillbeans! I must say that for me its not worth it as I don't wear a bikini anymore - oh the Glory Days - but I can see doing this. As I said recently - oh the lengths we women will go to for beauty.

Suzannen - I was trying to get to the end to say that I hopethat Ed doesn't see this, but too late! He was very refrained I might add. You must intimidate him with all this talk of Brazil.
