Tell me about Labour Day, would that be a week end and week to avoid?
We are planning our Fall trip , was thinking going Aug. 30th to Sept.7th, should we stick to the first week of October instead, (we usually go that week)?

I did a mother/daughter trip August 31 - September 8, 2012! Crowds were very very low, even on labor day weekend! We enjoyed it. I don't mind heat at all so it was great. The only risk is hurricanes. We didn't have any rain that week though!!! I would risk it!
I agree. We went during Labor Day weekend a couple years ago and the parks were very manageable. Our favorite time to go is the week after Labor Day because the crowds are so low since the kids have gone back to school by then. Your stand-by wait times will not be bad at all, however there will be shorter park hours. Enjoy .
I concur - Labor Day is so stressfree than the other holidays. I actually got a little ticked off seven years ago when our grandson decided he was going to arrive the week AFTER Labor Day. We were 800 miles away waiting over "Labor" Day and, well, he takes after his dad. He was late.
We went to WDW this past Labor Day and did not find the parks to be overly crowded. as the PP's said, it's the least crowded holiday weekend you'll find at WDW.
Another vote for that week. We were there in 2013 arriving on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and staying for 10 nights. Crowds were heavier on that Sunday but really not that bad and wait times were not terrible. Then after that day it thinned out a lot and was great.
