Anyone know the average attendance on Labor Day weekend?

Anyone else going???

We are!!

I don't know about this...but since it is a holiday...I would assume the crowds would be rather massive.

we've been in wdw for LDW in '99, '01, '04 and '05 and crowds were very low... most rides were 5-10 mins or walk ons! because of the back-to-school schedules of most of the country, it happens to be a low-travel time... enjoy :flower:

Yes, as the op said so many people are busy with back to school the parks are practically empty. We found out a few years ago when we went very reluctantly on that weekend (my husbands work dictated his vaction time that year...) I was dreading it. It was such a pleasanst surprise to be able to walk on almost any thing with almost no wait - that now we have planned out trip to include that weekend this year!! (Though, we have to go home that Sat...unfortuantly.) Though, as you can see by the prices, it is one of the "low' times for Disney - so it's a win - win situation! Lordy, between the low crowds and the free dining I am just going nuts waiting for out trip!

we'll be there aug 28-sept 5 - i too was worried about crowds on labor day but i went to the site that predicts attendence (based on other years) and it said is should be fairly low - the week leading up to it looks a little crowded though

Such great news. We just booked Aug 31-Sept 5. See ya all there!!!

Any dining suggestions besides Le Cellier and Spirit of AlohA???

 :woohoo:

Keep in mind, crowds are subject to change from year to year, so go with the knowledge that they COULD be large. But probably not. ;)

It is a great time to go, if you do not mind the heat and humidity we love it and have spent several Labor DAys in Orlando..... :sunny:

We will be there Aug 30-Sept 5th this year.... :sunny:

See ya there.... :wave2:

My husband and I are going from 8/31 to 9/4!!

It was supposed to be a Surprise - for my 40th Bday! But since he got the free dining plan, he told me, so I could pick the restaurants!

He didn't tell me where we were staying until just YESTERDAY>> Poly, here we come!

So far, we are eating at LeCellier and Artist Point - now that I know we are staying at the Polynesian, we are going to go to 'Ohana or the Kona Cafe.
See you there!

9/2 to 9/9 here ~ staying at Pop! Only have to take four days off of work because of the holiday! :woohoo:

we always do labor day, and will be there with free dining again this yr. 8/30-9/5

cant wait

We are! August 27-September 3 at POR!!! I can't wait, but I'm dreading the heat:)

I'll be there! I can't wait.
Also, I heard that there will be a Tom Joyner family reunion around WDW during that weekend, so crowds might pick up a little, but last year I had no problems whatsoever with crowds and this year don't forsee any.

We will be at Saratoga Springs 8/31-9/5! Cannot wait! We just got back from the world last week and my DH surprized me with the Labor Day weekend trip. Glad to hear that the parks may be a little quieter. :yay:

We'll be at ASM from 9/2 to 9/10 for DD's 5th birthday!
Hope to see you all!

My granddaughter and I will be there August 30-September 5 at POFQ. Can't wait!

I am hoping for a low crowd level. We are taking our DS, this will be his first trip to Disney!
