Labor Day Weekend Traveling?

We have ressies at POP starting Sunday,Sept 6, but have friends that live in orlando that we can stay with on Fri or Sat. What I want to know is this: We are driving from VA to FL (over 600) miles. Would the traffic on labor day weekend be better (safer and faster due to traffic issues)on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

Friday will be a big travel day, but traffic will be heavier all over the weekend, so go whenever it is good for you is my opinion...have a good trip....
