Labor Day Weekend at Universal Hotels

Hi, we are visiting Orlando next year and are hoping to stay in a Universal Hotel for part of our stay next August/September, and have realised that our stay will partly be over the Labor Day weekend (at least the Friday night, maybe the Saturday night too).

I wondered how Labor Day weekend was at the hotels, does it get a lot busier and what are the chances of getting reduced rates, either AAA or AP rates at the hotels? I'm still in planning mode at the moment, so it is slightly changeable, would appreciate some advice. Thanks

Oh and also, do Universal Hotel rates generally go higher on Friday and Saturday nights, or are all days the same rate? Thank you!

We were there last labor day at portofino and the Sunday before labor day was really busy. I don't remember the parks because fol pass makes that so easy. But that sunday was sro at sals and other restaurant. So you should be ok.9

rates are higher on weekends.

We are going to be up there for labor day which is why we are staying on site. I can't imagine being in those parks w/o a fast pass.
