What are your Labor Day weekend plans? We're going to our vacation house a couple of hours away, being lazy, maybe a little hiking or kayaking. It doesn't look like we'll be impacted by Idalia, but depending on the rainfall amounts and the exact track, I suppose there could be some localized flooding in the area. I'm hoping we'll have some nice weather after the storm moves through - it usually seems to happen that a storm will bring in cooler & drier air for a bit.

I'm retired. Not doing anything because you learn in retirement not to go anywhere because everyone else is off work and going places. So we will go out of town the weekend after Labor Day to avoid the crowds.
I guess we can't win. After 42 years of working in jobs where holidays are NOT days off, we retire and we still can't enjoy holidays.

Having our neighbors from our primary house up to our lake house on Saturday, then a neighborhood party with the lake neighbors on Sunday. Probably just recuperating on Monday. ;)

Family BBQs Labor Day weekend. Cape May the following weekend after the big crowds have gone :)

Going out to dinner on Saturday for a friends birthday. Sunday end of summer pool party at a different friends house. Monday I’ll be doing all the things around the house I should have done on Saturday and Sunday.

No relaxing for us this Labor Day weekend...

My husband's sister is moving in with us temporarily until she finds a home to purchase. We are helping her transport belongings and her car on Friday, she will unload on Saturday. (Her husband of 30+ decided he wanted a divorce and she is heartbroken, but that is a different thread.)

Our son is moving out on Sunday, but he is hiring movers! :lovestruc We will help however he needs with packing on Saturday and then again on Sunday.

On Monday, we will go over to my brother's house for grilled chicken and swimming!

It looks like we’ll have some hot weather, so we’ll be home enjoying the pool. The end is almost near - pool goes to sleep for the winter on 9/16 this year. Bye bye summer

We have sister-in-law's belated b-day gathering on Saturday and then Sunday we're off to Vegas for several days. Wasn't intended to be a Labor Day trip just how the days fell with the available offer we had. But we were there in Vegas last Labor Day too lol same story just how the days fell.

Prepping for my colonoscopy. I didn't plan that one very well.

Going to my relative’s lake house for a cookout on Sunday. No other plans except our usual grocery shopping and cleaning.

Summer still going strong here. 114 :( Wish it would go away,

We'll be on an Alaskan cruise over Labor Day :yay: Cooler weather is welcome.
We leave Thursday.

I work Saturday and Monday, joys of working in a hospital. I'll probably not do a whole lot Sunday.

Of course you can enjoy the holidays! Just travel at off times or leave a day or two early and come back a day or two late. It is all in how you approach things. Have a great Labor Day!😊

LOL. Except every day in between is booked and at holiday rates.

We've been on vacation in the Upper Peninsula (Whitefish Point) since last Monday. Thursday we leave for St. Ignace, across from Mackinac Island. We'll be there until Sunday, when we drive home. It's been a glorious vacation, our first in three years.

Labor Day will be spent getting stuff ready for the work week.

My view from the outside chair I've been sitting in as often as possible:

It's my holiday to work so I'll be there. I am off Saturday and Sunday so I plan to park myself out back by the pool.
