We are already planning our 2022 WDW trip and looking at the week surrounding Labor Day, Aug 30-Sept 6, with Labor Day being Sept. 5. Does anyone know how the crowds are at the parks during that Holiday weekend?! Thanks for any Magical knowledge you can share with us!!

Not sure but I think Labor Day is Sept. 6. Sept. 5 is a Sunday. I only know that because we arrive Monday, Sept. 6, which was bad timing on my part when I booked. That week was the cheapest for the resort I wanted to stay at.

We are actually looking at next year 2022 not this year. But, we are just curious if Labor Day weekend is generally busy or quiet.

Oops, sorry missed that. I've been on Labor Day weekend in the past and pre-Covid the actual weekend it self was a bit of a bear. Locals had off work and in some cases schools didn't start until after Labor Day so people were getting that last trip in. Who knows what it will be like now.

I’m actually going to be there Aug 29 - Sep 5, I’ll try to remember to reply back about the crowd levels. I did see on social media that the crowds last week were very light

Watch this year for a guess. I feel like it used to a little quieter years ago, but the extension of Food & Wine plus schools starting it's changed.

It is really hard to say with certainty. The past 2 years it was very slow. This year is shaping up to be more of the same. We went that time in 2016 and it was very busy. If WDW offers free food that could make it busy. If a big deal is made out of Epcot's 40th on Oct 1st, 2022 that might make more people wait. There's many details that could +/- attendance. Park hours alone have the power to make things feel more or less crowded. Maybe all the fansites start showing how slow late summer has been for 3 years and that causes bookings. Genie might have an impact too if people bet on that slower time of year not needing paid options.

If I had to make a bet I'd guess no more than medium crowds, somewhere in the crowd level 3-6 range.

I don't think we've ever stayed through Labor Day weekend - but we're often there that final week of August into early September leading up to Labor Day and that week is generally very light on crowds.

Hello!

I am also considering a trip with an arrival on September 2nd or 3rd and then the departure on September 6th or 7th. I understand that crowd levels are difficult to predict these days, but I'd love to hear people's experiences with the Labor Day 2021 weekend or insight on how this Labor Day weekend could look. Thanks in advance!

With more schools being back in person, many kids will be starting school. It has been busy the weekend of Labor day, but slows right after. I'm hoping that's the deal, as I'm booked that week!

We generally have gone that time of year and are going this year Sept 3-12. If I remember correctly, it was normal busy on the weekend, but during the week after it was much quieter. It's always busy at WDW, but we find the week after Labour Day to be really enjoyable both with crowds and temperatures.

I've been several trips early to mid September as my birthday is on the 7th, which is as late as Labor Day can fall in any given year. The crowds have never been bad but I will say that immediately following Labor day it's magical! Super low crowds...hence my dates of the 6th-13th. I am remaining cautious since it's been awhile since my last trip and Disney has just been busier post Covid. I am still pretty certain it will slow down starting late August...definitely slower than summer to be sure.
