Anyone have any experience with crowd levels during Labor Day weekend? I checked easywdw and touring plans and both have Labor Day weekend at a lower level than the weekend before. I would think it would be a busy weekend, but maybe not? Thanks!
I used to go during that week, the crowd level was low. The crowd dies down after the first 2 weeks in August. However, in the recent years the crowd is higher and higher every year. The week is low compares to summer, but still can be many people there. Especially with Free Dining offer.
We were at all 4 parks over Labor Day Weekend last year and didn't find the crowds unbearable. Epcot and DAK weren't very crowded at all and neither was HS. MK was a bit crowded but we were there on a Saturday night. the crowds weren't as bad as we've see non other holiday weekends, such as Memorial Day.
Labor Day Weekend is consistently the least crowded holiday weekend any given year. Do crowds go up over the years? Sure. But that happens year-round. I've gone to WDW and/or Universal Orlando I think 5 straight years now. I go then because of the relatively low crowds.
Realize that a lot of schools, especially in the Southeast, are already back in session for maybe a full month before Labor Day. When I was a kid, we didn't start school until the day after Labor Day but that's been long gone now. We go just about every Labor Day and love it.

Even starting school after Labor Day how many families want to take a trip right before school starts. Florida schools typically start the 3rd-4th Monday of August. We moved to NY when my kids were little shocked school didn't start until the Wednesday
after Labor Day. Just figure most kids and college students are in class or waiting for class to begin. You think that weekends slow the following weekend is the slowest of the year. That's when we go.
We showed up on Labor Day Monday for our honeymoon three years ago and it was empty. We rode Soarin' stand-by at 6PM with only a 30 minute wait. I'm not sure how the weekend was but that Monday was awesome
A lot of people in the NE area travel the last week or two before school starts for that very reason.
Sometimes we get really lucky and school doesn't start until the Monday AFTER Labor Day (like this past year for my DD). Unfortunately we didn't capitalize on it since my niece had to start school the week before.
