Thinking about going to La Nouba on our next trip. Is it worth the cost of $464 (tier 1 seating) for four adults? Seems quite steep. Do you think we should do it or spend the cash on something else. We have done the dinner shows on property. We will not have a car so is there something close that we could do instead? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Hi, it does seem expensive, but having been a few times, in various seats,
you could save money by booking cheaper seats ( there aren't many bad views) The best seats we had were dead centre just behind the mixing desk; but from wherever, it is a fantastic and unique show that will make you feel that your money will be well spent. Enjoy!:)

Cirque shows are wonderful and in my opinion worth it. We've been known to fly to Vegas for Cirque shows - so we've spent $1000 for two to see Cirque.

You might want to check the Cirque website out and see if you can find some previews. That might give you an idea of whether its worth it for you.

Actually La Nouba is one of the least expensive Cirque shows. Tier 2 seats for the Vegas shows are about $150+ for adults.

I actually prefer category 2 seats, so I would book those to make it a little cheaper. Also you can get vouchers from undercovertourist.com and that will save a few more bucks. Depending on when you are going, there are occasionally discounts for DVC members but, when available, the discounts are usually offered just a couple of months before the performances.
La Nouba reviews are almost universally stellar. You would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't think it was worth every penny. It is one of my favorite Cirque shows. I have gone many times and it has changed to get even better over the years. I like that it appeals to every age group.

Another vote for La Nouba, but I'd get Tier 2 seats. There aren't many bad seats, especially if you're in the middle of the theater. We always sit in Tier 2 and have never been disappointed.

And FWIW, I like La Nouba better than "O" or several other Cirque productions. It's a really fantastic show (in more ways than one).

La Nouba is the best show in WDW, in Florida, in the Southeast. However, you do not necessarily need front and center or Category 1 as Category 2 seats are fine and at times there are DVC discounts for that tier. In fact, even if discount not shown on DVC site, you should still ask if it is avaialble when ordering tickets but usually it is for tickets purchased somewhat close to time you are going. Undercovertourist.com also often has discounts for Cat 2 tickets.

I agree with the PPs. We love Cirque shows, and have even planned overnight trips to Washington, DC (a 3 1/2 hour drive for us) when they play there. We really enjoyed La Nouba, and would recommend that every frequent WDW visitor eventually fit it into their scheudle. But you're right, $464 is a pretty steep price for 4 adults. I'd recommend looking at some of the other booking categories, which will give you an equally enjoyable evening at a lower cost.

That said, another option to consider is a day at Sea World, instead. For about $150 less than the amount you quote for La Nouba, you could have 4 adult Sea World tickets. One of the shows at Sea World, A'Lure: the Call of the Ocean, will give you a flavor of the same type of show as La Nouba. It isn't nearly as long as La Nouba, and doesn't have the same unique music as a Cirque production, but it's a fun little show. And hey, for $300 instead of $464, you also get to see Shamu and all his buddies, too.

I think it might be my favorite as well. Though Ka was amazing and there is something really special about seeing the traveling tent shows. Ovo was just here and Kooza two years ago.

We just went last Tuesday, it was a wonderful show! We had cat 2 tickets that I purchased through the Entertainment book for $65 each. We were front row on the side and the seats were great--I was a little worried (last time we were in Cat2 in the center) But it was really cool to have the bikes stop right in your face:goodvibes ENJOY, it is well worth the admission:thumbsup2

I agree in trying to get cheaper tickets with another tier. Our family of 4 went in 2009 and it was amazing! Having never seen a Cirque performance, my husband was skeptical and fell in love with it. He wanted to go the next year and I had to talk him out of it so that we could do another Disney experience! Definitely give it a shot with a less expensive tier.

We did this in Feb. I was worried the husband would not like it, but, boy! Was I surprised! He loved it!

We bought regular tickets, no special seating. I was worried as well about the views. But every seat seemed to have a good view. Everything was in view.

Highly recommend this show.

Especially with the DVC pricing.

I'll take the minority stance...
My wife and I went a few years ago, and we didn't think the show was anything great.
If the show was included with park admission I would consider seeing it again, but I wouldn't actually pay to see it.

Also agree the tier two seating is fine. It's definitely worth seeing, excellent show. To compare to the Vegas shows, I would set it equal to Mystere. (Not as good as Love or O, but I also think Love is the best show ever made, and I've been to about 20-30 broadway shows, so that's not saying anything bad about La Nouba.)

I'll tell you from first hand, getting front and center seats, heck, all seats are great!!!!!!! If you can, and take this from me again, :lmao:

Just might happen to you!!:wizard:

And we bought 3 tickets and we had a friend dropout at last minute. :headache:. I think it is well well well worth it. :grouphug:

Is it your first time seeing Cirque? La Nouba is amazing!! Check it out on YouTube. Get it from Nexflix.

You asked for and opinion and her is my $.02.

First Cirque show I have ever seen and really enjoyed. Go for the Cat 2 seats and take a look at the seating plan. A few rows back from the concourse and a little off center allowed for some great viewing. I was thinking it may be difficult to take it all in from some of the most expensive seats, or a stiff neck.

Over the years I had seen a few Cirque performances on TV so I knew what to expect but the live La Nouba performance was fantastic! We bought the least expensive seats and had a wonderful view! It's was a thrilling performance, and for us worth every penny.

I agree with all the other posts, La Nouba is worth every dime whether you're in Category 1, 2 or 3.

I had discounted Category 2 tickets last June 2010. We were in either section 203 or 204 last row, close to center. The view was perfect. We paid about $60/ticket, I can't remember if it was a DVC discount or a Disney Visa discount.

We went a couple of years ago and bought last minute tickets from the box office. We got a deal on the price. I don't recall the details though. DVC does get you a discount I think.

We went with a lower tier ticket and were for on the right side, but only 2 seats from the middle aisle. I was concerned that these were going to be too far to the side, but they were fabulous. Part of the show actually has the cast parade in across the middle level (behind much of the tier 1 seating). The place is small, so any seat is good.

I may not pay to see the same show again because of the price, but I think that it was certainly worth it to see it once.
