La Nouba ?

We went as a family of four;
DS (about 12yo at the time) really enjoyed the show, but said he doubted he would go back.
DD (about 16 at the time) also enjoyed it, but felt it was les edgy than other cirque shows, and wouldn't want to see la nouba more than once.
DH thought it was just okay (he liked the blue man group at universal much more)
- loved it, and would like to see it again. I thought it was the closest to a broadway production of any show in the area, but had to agree with DD that it has potential to be even better.

If forced to rate it, I would probably give it 8-9 stars out of 10 (with most other cirque shows getting a 10) - it's absolutely worth the money to see it once:)

Beeing from Montreal, home of the Cirque du Soleil, I could not go to Disney without seeing that show. And I can proudly say that it is a great show !

I had category 2 centered tickets and it was perfect ! You have a good view of all the show without beeing too far...

Section 204, row EE or FF is just perfect !

Thanks everyone. I am going to buy tickets. Got some surprise $$ so really it's costing me nothing.:goodvibes

Also agree the tier two seating is fine. It's definitely worth seeing, excellent show. To compare to the Vegas shows, I would set it equal to Mystere. (Not as good as Love or O, but I also think Love is the best show ever made, and I've been to about 20-30 broadway shows, so that's not saying anything bad about La Nouba.)

I was disappointed in Love. Not that it wasn't a good show, but it was my least favorite of the Cirques.

Which is why "check out some stuff online" is good advice. Cirque tickets are expensive and everyone's taste is different

I've gone and thought it was great show. I do also agree with going with the cheaper seats, to me their aren't really many bad views.

Sit wherever you like and can afford, just try not to sit all the way to the back. If you like a little bit weird, a little bit mysterious, a little bit absurd, very funny, utterly breathtaking, then you'll love this show.

If you have any interest in trying out a Cirque show, this is the place to do it. This show is high quality and in a custom venue just like Las Vegas shows but costs only 1/2 as much (a real bargain).

DH is a big Cirque fan, and we have seen this particular show three times. Most people who see these really enjoy them. (I personally am not overly fond of Cirque du Soliel, but have come along for the ride (three shows in Vegas, this one three times, and one traveling show)

Another minority vote here. Watching the actual 12 apostles juggling fruit smoothies while hanging by their toes from a burning rope over a cauldron of chocolate fondue wouldn't be worth this kind of money. At LEAST, get cheaper seats.

I'm glad you decided to go ahead and get the tickets. Don't think you will be disappointed. I have seen several Cirque shows - Mystere, Ka, O (twice), Alegria and La Nouba and they are all fantastic!

I also don't think you can have bad seats. Our first trip to O we were almost in the last row and could still see everything.

I hope you enjoy it and have a great time!

Janet

PS - congrats on the surprise $$$!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think La Nouba is a giant snoozefest. If you love artistic entertainment (as opposed to just plain old entertaining), you'll probably like it a lot, though. Many people do. The world don't move to the beat of just one drum. :)

With the money that would be saved on La Nouba tickets, I'd rent a car and go do something more fun.

I agree with those who said the cheaper seats are the better ones. Just like in any theater, too close is too close.

All Cirque shows are fabulous, including La Nouba. All Cirque shows are better viewed from higher locations, like Cat 2 here at La Nouba. Much of the performance is high up, as well as the walkway between the two levels. If down low, a sore neck by end of show. AP's have discounts at times also.
