When I call to book seats, they give me one choice and that's it. I can't choose my section or anything. Have you run into same issue? I don't want to be over in the no-see-anything-crick-your-neck-trying section!! :confused3

While it's strange that they aren't offering you a choice on seats because it seems like they always have for me in the past. You can feel confident in knowing that there are no bad seats at La Nouba. The theatre is so well designed you won't run into a problem sitting anywhere. For instance I like sitting up close to be close to the action and my wife likes to sit in the back so she can get the whole feel....there are pluses to anywhere you sit. Hope this helps.

Actually, it doesn't. It populates the field with seats for you to accept but you have no input as to the section where you'll be seated. I've tried having multiple windows open hoping to trick the online system into giving me different options, but it simply won't provide new seats until the seats it currently shows are gone. GGRRRRRR....

I bought mine online and just kept playing with it til I got seats I wanted. I would bring up a certain day/time and when it gave me seats I didn't want, I would just hit the back button a few times and try again. Or you can close the screen and start over and it will give you new seats- its time consuming but its the only way to get what you want I think. But honestly, the theatre is pretty small, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. We were in the category 2 and seemed up close.

I did the online "play with it" game last year too. Just kept trying till I got the seats I wanted. Plan on doing the same this year. Its closer than the 180day mark for us... and they havn't updated their website yet!!!! I called the DTD LaNouba location, they called some higher up and told me they are in the process to update the website. (currently it goes up to oct.29th and i wanted nov.8th.) So its a big old waiting game for me. Happy waiting for me. :wizard:

Has anyone sat in Section 201? How is the view from there? Can you see enough of the stage to fully enjoy it?

Are there any discounts for La Nouba?

AP holders get 25% of through Sept. 30th, at least I think that's the cutoff date. Which is a pretty good discount, if you ask me! :Pinkbounc

I am not a AP holder, so unfortunately this won't work for me. It would've been nice though. Thanks ladybugsy.

I agree with the poster that said that there are no bad seats for a Cirque show. Even their permanent theaters, like La Nouba, are fairly small and intimate.

That said, I would seriously avoid sections 201, 202, 206 and 207. The angle is not conducive to really enjoying all of the spectacle that is meant to be seen from the front of the stage.

I would gladly take a last row seat in 204 before a front row seat in any of the sections I listed above.

The truly sweet spot for a Cirque show (any Cirque show, and I've seen many, many shows) is in the first few rows in 204. It gets you a fairly close seat with a perfect straight on view, and for the traveling shows, you get the same premium sightline that the "tapis rouge" VIP customers get, but you pay about half the price. (At La Nouba, there is no VIP, and those rows are Cat 1, just like the 102-4 sections, which tells you how good they are, even though they're farther back.

By the way, we are going to WDW in mid-June, when Cirque is dark, and it just eats away at my soul that I am going to miss it. :sad2: La Nouba is one of my favorite Cirque shows.

my parents and I possibly have seats in section 205. I'm not sure what's going on with the processing information because as we were going through the finishing touches on the billing information, the website glitched on us. So our information is floating somewhere out in cyberspace waiting to be processed.

We have seen the show 3 times. While I would agree that first timers would enjoy the show from any seat, I always purchased my ticket with the seating chart open in front of me while talking with the La Nouba ticket agent on the phone.

This has been complicated at the moment. I can still choose my seat with the ticket agent if I want to pay full price, or use a voucher from ticketmania (savings = $5/ticket).

If I want the 25% discount for DVC members, I have to go through the DVC member services person, who would dearly love to help, but they are forced to offer us the "proposed best seats available for the discount." This results in a game of me asking for each time / date, allowing for my willingness to break up my party of 6 into 3 groups of two, two groups of 3, front and back, etc. Needless to say, I only go a couple of iterations before I know the person on the phone is politely aggravated, realizing that the possible permutations could go on for awhile (if they are like most telephone centers, they are rewarded on consumated transactions and minimum phone time for execution, without losing poise) - and I have given up twice.

Still, the mere fact that we have gone three times and want to go AGAIN, says volumes about the show itself. I can also concur that:
- you won't be disappointed with any seat (first time)
- you will appreciate it best from the front (kind of like Wishes, the show has a lot going on, some of which you may miss if you field of vision is "to the left" (or right)

Don't get so agitated about about the seat or the discount that you give up and don't go.....

For me, I opted for Varekai, as they will be performing in Baltimore while I attend a conference - the weekend before we leave for our "Soaring Into Disney" extranvaganza (aka "bye-bye meal vouchers, hello-kitchen-for-mom, return-to-dining-normalcy 2005" vacation)

I just tried for different days during the week we are at WDW. it gave me the same seats for each show no matter which day or show I chose online. I don't know if the category 1 is all booked in the first "circle" but it would always give me the second "circle" and the first row. For cheaper, category 2 tickets, it gave me same row but one section over. Would that be any worse? I don't think sitting two seats to the left would be too bad, unless there is a pole in front or something.

There won't be any poles. But perspective means something in Cirque shows, usually. Those first few rows of the 200's in the middle are Cat 1 for a reason. Though I agree that seats that are two seats over in Cat 2 won't be that different, I'd still much prefer the Cat 1 view.
