Has anyone ever tried renting a car from L & M Car Rental at the Orlando airport? I usually use Avis and have the preferred member card and other discounts, but even with the discounts, L & M seems cheaper. I wonder if anyone could share your experiences with them? Thanks

We used them last year. They were good...but tried to charge us a rate different than what we were quoted at! Make sure to bring your papers. In the end the car was VERY NEW and in great condition. This year we rented with them again and will be down there July 29-August 9! Their rates just always end up being the best!

and we had very little trouble with L&M. When we arrived at the counter the car was not ready for us, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes. The car we were assigned was a 2002 Toyota Corrola (economy class). It was very nice (still looked like a new car, and so did all of their other cars that we saw). The staff was courteous; however, most of them had accents that were very hard to understand. We were asked to show our insurance card when we declined the insurance. We were able to complete the return paperwork in the garage. This took just a few minutes. We would rent from them again.

Try Dollar using one of the following codes: fvg, fish, mcc, kiss, flnew, or entertain.
They were cheaper than L&M for our July 3-9 trip.

My advice is stick with Avis. I will never rent from L&M again. Dollar Rent A Car has lots of discount codes out right now and they are a much better place to rent from if you can't get a discount with Avis. Try these codes at Dollar's web site in the promo code box, try them all to see which one gives you the best price: MCC, ENTERTAIN, FISH or FVG. Dollar is onsite, right outside baggage pickup. You don't need a coupon or any type of card to use these discount codes. If you rent from L&M, I wish you luck!!

Sounds like you had problems with L&M, would you mind giving some details about your experience?

Thanks

Wow, thanks for the info. Now I'm wondering if I should use L&M or not. The rate is just slightly less than Avis with my discounts. Thanks for the info. I like being able to make educated decisions.
