Actual experience:
Have used L & M four times in the last 12 months.
Have never been asked for proof of insurance.
All cars were fine, except one had a handling problems because the prior renter had damaged a front wheel. Returned before leaving the airport complex and was upgraded without question.
Last two cars were Kia Optimas. I was surprised at how well they drove---Consumer Reports had a very favorable review.
Prices were substantially under the others I reviewed.
Have never been asked or enticed to upgrade.
Has never been a question about honoring a reservation---and I do them all by internet.
As info, I have used all the other car rental agencies in the terminal, and a few outside, and belong to all the "quicky" clubs
like Fastlane and Emerald Aisle. So I have a basis for comparison.
As long as L & M maintains a cost advantage, and stays on site, I will continue to use them.
