Those of you who have kids in KUMON, what do you think of it? Pros? Cons? Is the outcome worth the cost?

My DD did Kumon for about 9 months. I did not like it, as it was basically just worksheets every day. It was a fight to get her to do the worksheets daily. I thought there was too much emphasis on speed and perfection. I guess their system works for the average kid who just missed some basics, but DD has a documented deficit in her working memory that impacts her reading, so it really did nothing to help her. For a kid who already hated to do school work, adding 20-30 minutes more daily, with no direct instruction was torture. We have her at a private reading tutor who uses the Wilson Reading system and have already seen improvement.

Yes I do. My kid has very little homework from school 2nd grade. Maybe a 5-10 min sheet a day. Kumon is getting him in to the routine of spening atleast a quarter of an hour each day to homework after school. HE is beyound grade level in Math which helps him at school too. He also now knows the process of sittign in one place and concentration. Important skills for the future. I like the process and think its worth the money.
