Ok-quick update. Apparently there will be a LOT of Pop fridge swaps in Aug. and Sept. due to more people staying on site for the FD. Because of that it makes it even more crucial to swap the fridge from DISer to DISer and NOT take it to luggange services. From what I read on other threads, there will be at least 14 fridge swaps going that same time we will be there. If even a few are at luggage services at the same time it can cause big problems, as POP has been having trouble getting the right fridge to the right swap.

So in order to keep the fridge from going to luggage service it'll be really important that you call the person before, and after you in the swap (as it gets closer to your vacation time-I'll give you that info) to arrange a time to meet with them in person. Right now, we're completely booked from Aug 7-Oct 1st so it should be fairly easy to do that. And some of you may need to give up the fridge a day early to ensure we keep the fridge out of luggage services.

Right now Pop will accept boxed packages, and hold them for up to 2 weeks, but if there are 14 swaps going at once-they may change their policy on that. Wouldn't suprise me.

Also, I've been thinking of a way to decorate our box, so that it's easily identified by our swap group, as well as luggage services. I've been thinking maybe we could cover the outside of the box with contact paper (the sticky kind you cover textbooks with, maybe?) Maybe a lime green color? No one could misplace that very easy. Also, maybe we could tape a sheet protector to the box so we can put the name of the next swapper, check in date, confirmation # in that protector, so it's not easily pulled off, but still very visable.

Also, I think within the next month (or sooner) we're going to set an official start date for the swap. We'll give some June and July people a little more time to sign up.

If you have not yet confirmed and you are on our swap June-Oct, please e-mail me your info. If I don't hear from those people soon, I'll have to remove them from our list, and give others an opportunity to have those dates.

To keep all the fridge's straight, we might want to put "krystalleigh1" (or k1 for short if you don't mind...) on the fridge somewhere to identify it as part of this swap line.

Good idea. It sounds like that's part of the problem right now with the other swaps that are loosing their fridge-other swappers from different swaps are taking the fridge, because they don't realize they're taking the wrong fridge.
