Kroger Gift Cards 4x Fuel Points

I think that this was in a thread somewhere, but I thought folks might see it more easily. I am not sure about when it ends. (Usually it is 2x)

Bottom line- if you have the Kroger Plus Shopping Card (no cost) for $250 worth of Disney Gift Cards you will have 1000 points. This will be $1 off per gallon gas up to 35 gallons (or until the car is full).

You do not need to purchase $250 worth, but the $1 off seems to be max. There are many more instructions and scheming for this to be found on the other thread.

Just so you know, Kroger gift cards don't count for this. When I asked at the store for restrictions/exceptions/limitations, no one seemed to know so I bought $200 in Kroger gift card. It didn't show up on my totals so I did a google searcg and sure enough, that seems to be a limitation on previous deals. Not a big deal to me as I know I'll use those gift cards or give them to my kids for their grocery money. My Kroger does not stock Disney gift cards so I guess I'll have to get Amazon gift cards .

we did this too the last time they offered 4x points.... I didn't do that much though, only $ 100. But, it was still 400 points, so I'll take it Kroger! (plus you get your Disney dollars using the Disney chase)

When the 4x Fuel Points comes around, I like to buy smaller gift cards that I plan on using anyway. For example, I'll buy $25 McDonalds, Subway or Old Navy. I'm going to spend money there anyway, so I might as well save a few dollars doing it.

However, if you know for sure you are going to Disney soon and can use them for hotels, tickets, or even food and drink, you can really rack up the savings this way. Every little bit adds up.

I do the same thing(even when it is only double points). You would be surprised at how quick it adds up. I can not tell you the last time I filled my cars up without getting $1 off each gallon. We have a Kroger we have to drive by to go just about anywhere so I just swing in there and pick up what I need on the way to the store. I keep a $25 McDonald and Subway card on me at all times since I know I will use those. Others I use frequently are Home Depot, Amazon, Bestbuy, & Chilis. Like PP said if you are going to spend the money anyway you might as well save on gas.

DH has to buy an air compressor at Home Depot. I went to Kroger's today and bought $175 in gift cards, earning 70 cents off each gallon of gas. I also used my Disney Visa for the purchase and when he goes and fills up his SUV, he will use the Disney card again.

I took advantage of this today. I was going to buy my son some clothes from JC Penney for his bday anyway, so I just took the cash I was going to spend and bought a $50 card.

Now I have 200 fuel points!

I did this yesterday too! Bought a Starbuck's card since I will definitely be going there soon! And, also bought the 3 pack of $15 Disney gift cards for $45. We are going to give these to the kids for our trip in September and I will buy more later on.

This is going on at all Kroger branded stores, Dads and Grads, May 23-June 19. And I also saw on the Fry's Foods website that you can get up to $2 off per gallon of gas with the points through Sept. 30. Not sure if that available at other Kroger branded stores though.

the Kroger 4X fuel points dates in Kentucky are: May 20-June 16. I guess if varies depending on the region in which you live.

I can't wait to use my Disney Gift cards.

Even if you have 2000 points you can use up to $1 off per gallon at a time. I am going to see if the Kroger stores in Georgia are participating in this so I can fill up when I am there. It will save $$$. If not I will just buy a couple of Shell gift cards to use.

Thanks for posting about 4x points. I have been saving my points for our long drive down in June. I would love to buy Disney gift cards for things we will buy anyway.

Are there rules about what you can/can not use a gift card for? We are staying off site and would probably need $$ for the following:
TS and CS meals
snacks (like Dole Whips)
parking
souvenirs
tickets (we have these already but those we are meeting do not and may like to do this)

nothing Hotel related since off-site

I'd like to figure up and approximate amount we will spend and get some gift cards while they are 4x points!

I think I remember seeing $50 cards at my local Kroger. Has anyone seen other denominations?

I bought $250 worth of GC and filled up yesterday. I was surprised to see it asked if I wanted to use $1.10 fuel rewards because I thought that the max was $1.00.

I just found this on the Kroger site:

The fuel program now allows you to Save Up to $2 off per gallon when redeeming at Kroger fuel centers, now through September 30th, 2012.

Next month I am going to take advantage of the full $2.00 off per gallon!

We have saved $605 so far this year with gift card points. That is mostly Disney Gift Cards for our trip this winter. But we also purchase Target, Home Depot and Amazon that we keep on hand.
