Kroger 4x fuel points 8/12 - 9/8

Yes! I used my SW Visa to buy $150 in Amazon gift cards tonight. (Dh found struts for my car cheapest on Amazon! ) So, when both cars get empty at the same time, we'll take them and get $.60/gallon off just from that. With gas at $4/gallon and me driving 120 miles a day to/from work, we need all the discounts we can get!

I thought the ads said you had to use your Kroger credit card to get the bonus points. We went out to eat at a chain restaurant and stopped at the Kroger in the same shopping plaza to buy a gift card before dinner. It's easy enough.

My ad says "Only purchases made with your loyalty card from the Kroger company family of stores or 1-2-3 Rewards Visa are eligible". I took that to mean that they had to scan your loyalty card or use their rewards visa in order for you to get the points?

I saw the ad on Facebook yesterday and was THRILLED! There's a chance we won't be able to get our AFS tickets on base and we know we can't get MNSSHP tickets on base so we're getting several Disney GCs this week and will reap the gas savings for our drive down next month! YAY!

You're right: it says "loyalty card OR 1-2-3 Visa." I have the Visa, so I always use it at Kroger; never realized it wasn't mandatory for the gift card gas points. Learn something new every day. Thanks.

That's okay, I wasn't sure, I think some places don't allow you to use a cc for gift card purchases. Anyway, I did buy some today and had no problem using my Disney Visa.

Does anyone know if I can use a credit card to buy the gift cards? Will Kroger allow that? I'm heading there to do my grocery shopping tomorrow and thought I'd pick some up and use my Disney Visa to get some rewards.

Yes you can use a credit card. At my local Kroger they ask for your ID when you use a credit card.

Kroger does this again around Christmas, don't they? We're going to Disney in Jan, so would prefer to wait if I can.

I kept track of this last year and Kroger did it in our area at the following times:

Spring Break(late march early april)
Mothers Day
Fathers Day
Back to School(aug/sept)
Thanksgiving/Christmas(late Nov/early dec)

It usually runs for 4 weeks and always crossed over a month which helps if you are worried about points expiring.

The problem with our area is that they only offer 4x on certain cards, not any GC. Like Fathers Day, it was Lowes, Best Buy, Home Depot. Mothers Day, it was SpaFinder, BR, and Kohls. Ill have to check tomorrow, because my 5% promo on my Disney Premier is almost up. I can stock up on GC for our trip & anything else I can think if. Christmas isn't too far away!

I'm far from expert but when I go to gas station( kroger) I scan my Kroger plus card, it gives me options to use 3 cent /gal off ( this is everyday norm) or if I have enough points on plus card i have another option for 10 cents off/gal or whatever it will be. When you buy gift cards during these promos you 4x points instead of normal 2x points. so if I buy 100 gift card I get 400 points instead of normal 200.
