Kristi and Brian's Wedding **New Plans!**

I agree with Kristi about overstock. I am getting DF's ring from overstock as well. He is on a diet for the wedding so he refuses to let me order until like a month before, lol! I have picked it out already though it's one of those tungsten carbonide rings they can't be resized because the metal is too strong. It is only like $50 and in stores they are like $200 - $300 so major deal there :) And where is Mr. Creepo Kristi???? lol!

Vicki, that's the same kind of ring I got for DF. And caution, those rings sometimes run 1/2 size too big. Brian usually wears a 9 and he needed a 8 1/2. He's got really long skinny creepy fingers. Haha, I'm so nice. So don't wait too close to the wedding in case you have to return it! Just read the reviews on whichever ring he's getting. They will usually say if the ring runs big or not :)

Here you go peeps! haha!!

Good!

Thanks for the tip:thumbsup2 Scott has pretty big fingers so I will probably pay real close attention to the reviews and we plan on going into like Zales or something so we can get an accurate size.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL :lmao: That had me cracking up for way longer than it should have....

I am going to try to get DF sized at some point- so if it doesn't fit, and if they are hard to be sized, Overstock does exchanges right?

haha!! I make him do the mad doctor fingers, or so I call it, just so I can call him creepy!

Yep, overstock does exchanges. We went with the tungsten, and because of the metal, you can't get it resized at all.

And for the record, I've started my "I told you so" and "well if you would have listened to me you wouldn't have to exchange it". I knew me not saying it wouldn't have lasted long...haha

CONGRATULATIONS...

What a lovely story! :) Loving your engagement photos! Your dress is really pretty too! :)

It was useful to the the prices of the Swan too, as we are from the UK things here are soooo over priced for weddings and I didnt really know what to expect! We are getting married next year at Lake Nona in Orlando, kind of near disney! lol

This is my PJ, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2650312

Aww thanks :)
Are you having your honeymoon at Disney?

Ok all of you lovely, creative ladies that read my pj. I have a question. Here's what my location will look like for our wedding, with maybe a few extra chairs.

Sorry that pic is so blurry. It's all I could find. My problem is, it looks a little boring to me. And I don't have a creative bone in my body. Any ideas as to how I can spruce it up a bit? Make it more colorful? Anything? I'm not looking for a whole lot to add, just maybe a few touches here and there.
We will have a table set up with our vinylmation mickeys guest book, but that's all so far.
And remember, I am not very creative, so whatever it is needs to be EASY :)

Hmmm... Well, I think it kind of have... simplistic beauty. Sort of like SBP! But, you could do some sort of ribbons on the chairs maybe? And rose petals! I think rose petals makes everything look a bit more spruced up.

I don't know what your budget is, but here's me throwing out some ideas. :goodvibes

Different style/color chairs
Flower petal shapes on the ground
A decorated arch for you to stand under to separate you from the guests

I agree that it is pretty the way it is. I think petals scattered around would be nice. You could do some sort of potted plant on either side of where you will be standing for the ceremony. Even a nice brightly colored aisle runner would be pretty too.

Joining in! I am not planning a wedding, so it sounds like I am in the minority, but I think all your choices so far (and re-choices) have been awesome!! It's so awesome that your son is walking you down the aisle. As for adding some "spruce" to the venue, if you can't do an archway or whatever, maybe 2 potted plants on either side will suffice? Looking forward to hearing more! I will be there the same time. Oh and Cali Grill is an awesome choice, I ate there in December!

Thanks for joining, and your suggestions!! I LOVE Cali Grill. The food, fireworks, everything :) And they are making our cake, which I am super excited about!!
And you're right, my pj has turned in to choices and re-choices...haha!!

Thanks ladies for your suggestions!! I'm definately going to look into all of it! As far as the aisle runners, I found some wonderful monogrammed ones! Do you think this will look ok, even though the place is outside and the aisle is concrete? (I think)
And I definately like the idea of rose petals! I wanted something to decorate the chairs as well, but I may just look into different kinds of chairs :)

Just caught up on everything and it all sounds great! :thumbsup2 I love your dress and the jewellery you picked in the end is lovely! I love the shoes too! I want something comfy and a bit more funky but DF said no!! :headache: Its alright for him...he gets to wear nice flat comfy shoes anyway!! I agree with the previous comments made about decor too. Its a beautiful location already but sprinkling some petals around would look lovely! Maybe even flowers tied on the end of the chairs too?! Im looking forward to following along! :goodvibes

Kristi
As you know, my location is the same as yours and whilst I think it is beautiful as it is, I am having some pillars and urns to make a sort of 'altar' area. The flowers will be the same as DD and I will have in our bouquets (terracotta and ivory). I had always planned my colourscheme to mirror the colours of the West Courtyard and so DD's dress is a turquoisy colour and our flowers are 'earthy' colours - the two colours in the courtyard. Here is a picture I used to send to the florist for inspiration

Hello love, what if you added colored scarves to wrap around the top of the chairs in your wedding colors? It'll spruce it up and sometimes you can get them for WAY cheap AND they double up as a favor? I'm debating doing something of that sort myself.

Also, flower petals around the aisle and such. Even a colored aisle runner?
Hmm.. Keep it simplistic though and talk to your wedding coordinator! They may have ideas or pictures from previous weddings held there.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest! I saw the scarves wrapped around chairs in a magazine or on a website once and it looked great. You can get them in basically any color and there are places that you can get them for super cheap. I think it would look awesome!

Thanks for all the suggestions!! I think I'm going to look at going with an aisle runner and maybe petals around the aisle runner to give it a little color. And maybe something to the chairs with little hints of color, not too much :)

That is exactly was I was going to suggestion :) I made my aisle runner, you could think about ordering one on etsy.com or doing it yourself. I am going to post pics of it so you can see what I am talking about :)
