This was posted over at the MouseForLess website...

Kouzzina by Cat Cora will undergo refurbishment from Nov. 29-Dec. 14 and reopening Dec. 15 to add new signage, new outdoor seating and a new merchandise area. During the closure, guests can enjoy breakfast a la carte breakfast at Flying Fish Cafe as well as regular dinner offerings at Disney’s BoardWalk. The pizza window will remain open during the refurbishment. When the restaurant reopens, inside the lobby, a special arrival awaits telling the story of Cat Cora and the interior of the restaurant will showcase a functioning olive oil display.

We have reservations on 12/02/2010 and have not received anything letting us know about this. Has anyone heard that the entire restaurant will be closed or is this just a cosmetic refurb for the outside? TIA.

Shoot! When I read the thread title, I was hoping it meant it was closing for good. I so wish they' bring back Spoodles! It was one of my favorites, and I can't stand Kouzzina.

Guess that explains how someone saw availability for breakfast at Flying Fish online.

If they're offering FF for breakfast, sounds like it's a full closure. Those with reservations will likely get a call from Disney at some point to reschedule them - that's happened before.

What's functioning olive oil?

BRING BACK SPOODLES!:wizard::wizard::wizard: It was so much better than Kouzzina:sad2:

Also do something about the noise in this place.:idea::idea: They need to bring in something to absorb more of the sound

I agree. I wish I'd had noise reducing headphones for our dinner here.

Whew. The pizza window is still open. I was worried there for a sec.:woohoo:

Kat Coura(SP) can leave as far as I am concerned. Don't go away mad just go away.

Why don't you like Cat Cora? I can understand not liking the restaurant but I don't understand the dislike for the person.

I not a fan of Cat Cora herself, but I prefer the food to the food at Spoodles.

BTW; Other than filling a niche for the network how did she become an "Iron Chef"?
I guess she is better than Rachael Ray.

This sucks! Our fave breakfast is at Kouzzinas. I arrive on the 28, so I will not be getting the stack this trip :(

Ditto. I LOVED Spoodles. We ate there every trip. Drat.

I have seen so many fantastic reviews for Kouzzina lately! I actually changed my ressies to include it. I saw a lot of negatives after they first opened, but lately have seen lots of positives. Hope they are correct, I have ressies in January.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. And we weren't even a big fan of Spoodles.

Rachel Ray isn't a chef. She is a "food celebrity". Cat Cora is a trained chef, hence her role on Iron Chef.

Then why would you want Spoodles back??

This thread has become so negative--and lately, all I've read are good reviews of this place. My cousin and his wife went there a month ago and loved it!

Also, the attacks against Cat Cora? I think she seems like a nice person!:)

Don't hate, people. Just don't go eat there.
