We just came back from the Poly and noticed new items on the lunch and dinner menu. We also noticed menu changes at the Yacht Club Galley Breakfast and Le Cellier Dinner but I neglected to take pics of those

Here are a two pictures of the dinner menu at Kona..hope you can read them

Oh no! They took off the mahi mahi! That is DH's favorite dish at Disney :sad1: It was SO good.

bummer. Sometimes I hate change

Shoot I have ADR's for Dec based on this entree! I agree! It really Stinks!:confused3

well that stinks. i was going here for dinner instead of breakfast just to try that mahi mahi. blah. why do all the menus have to change and get rid of anything different?? :sad1:

The turkey medallions are gone too. The only thing with the mahi-mahi that I liked on the menu.
We had an ADR there for Christmas Eve... gonna put it on the cancel thread.

Do you remember if the steak salad and Kona Club were still on the lunch menu ?

I don't know that this is a menu change I'd complain about. They did away with the same-old Caesar salad for something a little different, which is nice even though the new salad doesn't appeal to me personally, and the new entrees sound fairly unique and very tempting.

The Bamboo steamed Ono sounds interesting..I hope someone shows up with some pictures soon. :goodvibes
Strange that they should take the Mahi off the menu, it seemed so popular.

First they change the dining plan which just made us realise that staying on-site was a waste of money as there were really very few incentives now.

Now they take away the Mahi Mahi from Kona Cafe...sheesh...it's like they don't want our money!!! :lmao:

Seriously, we wouldn't go to Kona Cafe now without the Kona Chowder and Mahi Mahi. I suppose restaurants need to change their menu once in a while but I always thought the Mahi Mahi was like a signature dish given how much people seemed to love it. Very sad :sad2:

We really like Kona and I absolutely loved the Mahi Mahi. I have been dreaming about eating it again. So, we have an ADR for November and look what they did??!!

I will be eating far too much steak and the mahi mahi was a great alternative. My husband would have chosen the turkey too. I am thinking about changing now but not sure where to.

I agree that menu changes are a good thing, but it is obvious so many people like the mahi mahi this seems a strange choice. Maybe there is some problem with the supply of the fish.:confused3

Well, that cuts it. I was going here for the Mahi-Mahi. I'm sorry, tuna is not my thing. I can't eat it, no matter how it's prepared.

But mahi-mahi, I could eat this every day.

I'm ready to bail on Kona for dinner. However, I think my DD will miss her coconut chicken. We'll have to see.

I'm sorry for those of you who liked the Mahi-Mahi, but I'm interested in the new pork chop dish; it sounds delish!!

I really wanted a caesar salad with my dinner but they no longer had it. Our server was awesome and she had the chef make me a great salad, it was HUGE

WHAT??!! THEY TOOK AWAY THE MAHI MAHI!! How could they?:sad1: I loved that fish. It was my favorite disney meal and I would have it more than once a trip. why why why...

The only reason I have an ADR at Kona was because they had a fish dish and a steak dish that a good portion of people raved about!

I like tuna but the mahimahi sounded devine.

Any idea where we should go instead? It's our first night, DBF is quite picky and I had an ADR in time to watch Wishes from the Poly beach :scared:

Hmmm????
I wonder if the Pan Asian Noodles are the same as the the Pan Asian Pasta was? I dont remember pineapple in it before and I can't remember exactly what the sauce was...not sure if it was sweet & sour.

We had lunch at Kona last week. My mother had the Kona Club. I don't remember a steak salad, but my father and DH both had the Asian Chop Salad, and it was huge and delicious! I had the Polynesian Plate Lunch with the chicken in peanut sauce, and it was out of this world! My DD kept eating off my plate so next time I'll order her her own instead of the kid's meal!

THis was horrible. DH had to finish it because it was too sicky sweet for me. I ordered it with shrimp and was not expecting a sweet sauce, more like a lo mein soy sauce instead. Here is a pic of it

I wish I had taken a pic of the lunch menu because that is all new too. THey have the Kona CLub and a teriyaki steak salad and some new chicken salad too. They also have a new BBQ pork lettuce wrap in bibb lettuce. We were trying to squeeze in a lunch but could not tear ourselves away from the pool
