Yay, yay, yay!!! Kona is wonderful. I have never had a bad dish there (although I have heard to stay away from the Noodle bowl). The pot stickers, crusted chicken and fish, soups and desserts are great. Enjoy!
Yes, it is a TS credit for any of the meals. If you go for dinner the bread and butter are absolutely heavenly ! Dh usually gets the Teriyaki-style New York Strip which he really enjoyed and I get the Pan Asian Noodles with chicken which is super! We also really enjoy the sticky wings and I might branch out and try the pot stickers next time. Last time we were on the DDP DH was able to get a mocha-type drink for his dessert and I have tried the Kona Kone (why we originally tried Kona in the first place) and the chocolate fondue.
It might not have the atmosphere of some place like Chef Mickey's but the food, service and quaint atmosphere makes it a must-do for us.
NO! NO! NO! You guys are giving away the best kept secret! LOL.
Kona is Fabulous. The masses go to Ohana, but Kona is amazing. Once when my dad went with us we had eaten at Ohana, and the next night at Kona. When the waitress asked my dad what he wanted for dessert, he said, "I sure would like to have some of the bread pudding and bananas foster sauce I had last night at Ohana"...he's not very adventurous...lol...but he ordered something from the Kona menu. When the waitress came out, she brought him his ordered dessert AND the bread pudding from Ohana. Needless to say, the ordered dessert was a very late nigh snack.
Yay to eat there ANY meal. I love to go in there and eat just the Chocolate Banana Creme Brulee. It's heavenly. Just got back Sat and even though this time didn't have time for Kona next time I WILL eat there. BTW ate at O'Hana's for breakfast and it was very good also.
Love it - it's a must do for us each trip! Usually it's multiple times per trip! Breakfast is absolutely incredible, but lunch and dinner are amazing as well!
