Kona Cafe Questions ... plus Fireworks from Polynesian questions

Hi there!

I thought it might be nice on our no-park day to watch MK's fireworks from the Polynesian. (Last year, we watched from Narcoossee's, and that was great!) I read a thread about people watching fireworks at the Polynesian, and it sounded like watching from the boat launch or in between the Great Ceremonial Hall and the pool is ideal. Do you hear the music, though? That's important to me. (It sounded like watching from the beach wasn't great anymore.)

Another thought is to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and watch Wishes just outside there. Then we could get in line for the bus back to our resort pretty easily. Which would be a better view?

Now on to Kona Cafe. I thought I might try to time it out so that we go there for dinner (DH loves sushi) before the fireworks. First, is the sushi really good? Second, does 8:30 sound about right for a reservation in order to see Wishes at 10 pm? I read some reviews discussing slow service.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would shoot closer to 8, or even 7:30 and if you're done early swing through Tiki Terrance or the Tambu Lounge for to take out.
