I'm debating between Kona Cafe or Ohana for a romantic dinner with my Dbf. I love both of the menus, but would it be worth it to try and get an ADR so I could watch the 8pm fireworks?

Do they seat a party of 2 with other people?

Please let me know!

Hi, I think Kona might be ur best bet. Haven't eaten at 'Ohanna's but have read that it can be quite busy with children etc, so if its just the 2 of u...

I've been to both and if you are looking for romantic, Kona is the way to go. O'hana is great, but it gets a bit noisy with the parades and such.

Neither, as both are very loud. Artist Point at the WL is very romantic at a reasonable price

Unless you find kids running around, coconut races, hula hooping to be romantic  I would choose Kona. Ohana means family and family means really loud & crazy :rotfl2:

 I think i saw that on a bumper sticker somewhere. If not, someone should make it!!

To OP's question, I too would vote for Kona...I haven't been there [yet], but Ohana, as good as the food was, and as fun as it was, just doesn't scream romance.

I have been to both and personally wouldn't choose either for a romantic meal. Both were pretty loud and some of the tables in Kona are really close together so you pretty much share your conversation with the people dining next to you!:rolleyes1

Have you considered any of the signature restaurants?:goodvibes

Ohana means family! Definitely go to Kona. The food is better there anyways.

We have our 'anniv.' dinner at California Grill, but were looking for something off of the monorail loop, because it's our MK day.

Are there any nice sit down places in the GF that only take 1 TS credit?

You have the Grand Floridian Cafe but I can't comment on the food as we have only been for breakfast. It was the freshest breakfast we have ever had on property though.:thumbsup2

I think if you are already having a lovely anniversary dinner at the Cali Grill(great choice:cloud9: ), then Kona would be absolutely fine for another meal. You could then watch Wishes from the Poly beach.

Your other option would be the Wave at the Contemporary, whilst it can be crowded, the tables aren't that close together and we found we had a nice meal there on our own.

My BF and I had dinner at Kona and we didn't find it that loud or feel like we were too close to other tables. I guess when I think of a romantic restaurant I envision long white tableclothes, lots of candles, roses, and classical music, which is not what you're going to find at Kona. But it was still a great experience and we definitely look forward to going back. I could see us celebrating a special occasion there.

We ate at Kona last week and it was very loud, we were right by a railing which is pretty much in the second story lobby. The tables are close together, I would not consider it romantic by any stretch. The food on the other hand was amazing I love that place and will be back!
