Hi.
We are off to WDW in August and are on the free dining plan. I have made an ADR for Kona. We are all adventurous eaters but dd hates mushrooms, brocolli, pineapple, coconut and strawberries. All seem to be on the menu a lot. Can I substitute one food for another (say the mushroom risotto for mashed potatoes which are also on the menu) or is that not possible? We have never had to do this before so I am just hoping that its possible. :)

Disney is usually very happy to switch out sides on entrees or to skip a sauce that you might not be sure about---by the way the Teriyaki Steak there is to die for

Sometimes items will vary too. I ordered the Kona salad, which says it has strawberries in it. I don't care for them and intended to eat around them. It actually came with apples in it which were fantastic!

Kona has been good about substitutions with me. The Terryaki Beef used to come with sticky rice, but now the side is potatoes. The last time I got that, I asked if I could subsitute the rice for the potatoes since I relaly like that rice and they said "yes, you can always substitute any of the starches".

Sounds promising. Thanks everyone! I love the sound of the apples in the salad.
