Kohls return questions

I ordered something this week that I have decided against keeping.

I paid $50 with a gift card
I paid the rest on Kohl's credit
I received $40 in Kohl's cash for my purchase

1. If I return the item without having used the KC, do I get the full reimbursement or the reimbursement minus KC?

2. Do I get the $50 back in a Kohl's gift card or will they credit the entire amount back to me?

If you don't use the Kohls cash they should refund the whole amount. Lately they've tried to refund it minus the KC, but when I say I didn't use it they refund the whole amount. (I never use it because I always end up returning stuff from online orders). They should also refund your $ however you originally paid, both cc and gift card.
