Kobe Bryant Charged with Sexual Assault

Good...maybe his little hottie 20 year old wife will wake up from whatever dream she's having and realize that maybe he can be cheating on her.
Wow, from charges to assumption of guilt in less than 1 day. I guess we can do away with that whole trial nonsense:rolleyes:

Who said he was guilty? I saw his wife with the whole "my man would never do that" look in her eye.....she's just naive. I work in law, so believe me, I know all about the innocent until proven guilty thing.

The funny part is that if it were you or me charged with the same crime, we woulda been in jail a week ago for it.....

You are correct, you never said anything about his guilt. My response was out off line. Please accept my appology.

My concern was for the assumption that his wife was naive. My wife trusts me implicitly that I will not cheat on her, and with good reason. How do we know that Mr Bryant isn't worthy of that trust? Trusting one's spouse implictly is not alway naive.

You may be right about what would happen if one of us were charged with such a crime, but I also don't know what caused the delay in charging him.

I understand that the delay in filing charges was due to the fact that they were awaiting DNA results. I also think that they wanted to be sure that they had a rock solid case before filing charges against such a high profile person.

Did she say it, or did she have a look in her eye.

BTW he admitted sleeping with her, so I think his wife knows he at least cheated.

S'ok WDWH.....it's hard to get the tone of a message on an Internet board. It's all good with me. You're entitled to your opinion, just like I'm entitled to mine.

Well, whereas you or I may not cheat on the wife, doesn't mean that someone that is of Kobe's stature won't. I mean, he's young, good looking, ultra rich and, in many cases, above ordinary law......it's a hard power to resist. For his wife to think he won't do it is naive...in my opinion.

The story I heard (granted from ABC World News yesterday) was that the DA wanted to make certain that all the t's were crossed and i's were dotted before charging him.

GUILTY! These Sports Stars are NEVER going to learn that not ALL of them can get away with it.:o

How do you know he's guilty??

Why was she in his room? How do you she didn't agree and then screamed rape?

I think women need to stop chasing sports stars, hell they need to stop chasing all stars.

I dated several so-called athletes and no offense, WDWHound, being your wife and the wife of an NBA star are two entirely different things...

Mrs. Bryant would INDEED be naive if she thought her husband was trustworthy, it comes with the territory. Whether or not she chooses to deal with it, and most of them come in knowing and DO, that's her choice. But the word "naive" is sweet compared to what she would be if she thought her hubby would never cheat on her.

As for blaming the victim, it goes both ways. If a married man is in a situation such as this KNOWING that the person he's with MAY just somehow use his actions to ruin him, then who's the FOOL??? As for the chasing, who's stopping and letting himself get CAUGHT???

This has happened to enough before him for him to know better.

You were there? You absolutely know for a fact that he's guilty?

Personally, I prefer to wait for the trial and see what the evidence says. I think that the attitude that "he's famous, so he must be guilty" is every bit as bad as the "I can get away with anything" attitude that you attribute to sports stars.

No offence taken. On this point we can certainly agree (LOL).

I'm listening to Sports Talk right now and they interrupted with more news on this. Apparently Bryant released a statement admitting to the adultery, so there goes that point. Something did happen. The jury will determine whether or not it was criminal.

However, damage has been done to his image....guilty or innocent.

my thoughts on this whole thing. That chicky girl was with him on her own will then she decided to turn the story around, there could be money had was her thought. he had to much to lose so why would he force himself on her, call me naive but I say he admited he had sex with her so I say that he is truthful:D

Did he admit to commiting adultry before or after the DNA results came out??? The first I heard about him admitting that was when I saw that he was charged.

Debbie

As in YES he had Sex with a 19 year old girl, whether it started off as being concensual or not, is another Story. :o However, HE is married and should have known better, but hey, this is 2003 and ANYTHING goes. I am SOOOO sick and tired of People defending these "sport Stars" like they are the ONLY ones that matter in the World! Guess what? THEY DON'T!

I agree that it was wrong of him to commit adultery, but that is between him and his wife - no one else. If she can forgive him, then what the rest of think really doesn't matter.

But being an adulterer doesn't necessarily make one a rapist.

I hope he didnt do it, did anyone else here that she made to false 911 call this past year
