Kobe Bryant/Celebs

We saw Travis Barker, Shana and Family a few years ago and he was really nice to kids aprroaching him for autographs or quick pics she stood back.
On our trip in June we saw P Diddys baby mama and his kids at storyteller cafe and on other past trips we have seen other celebs but I dont know there names :confused3

I am fairly oblivious to celebs. While getting a coffee at Starbucks in Vancouver a while back, there was this huge commotion. Turns out it was Rober Pattison (sp?). The gawking girls should have clued me in...
Years ago, I saw the guy who plays Paul Williams on The Young and the Restless...that's the disappointing extent of my celeb sightings!

OK that one would have given me a heart attack and I am not a teenager (Not even close LOL)

Two Christmases ago we saw two celebs...well, three actually. While waiting for Soarin' our line was held up. We were lined up for the left-hand side of the ride, but our line was told to turn around and head to the right-hand side, where we continued to wait and wait and wait. Figuring the ride must have broken down, we were deciding our plan of action.

Finally, we were allowed on the ride, where we sat even longer (not typical for Soarin', where riders are usually rushed through. The middle row of the middle section was empty until Courtney Cox and David Arquette and their daughter and family members were seated and buckled in. Walking out of the ride we ended up next to them. I didn't say anything because I think that celebs in the park are just there to have a good time and enjoy Disney, not be mobbed by fans. They did have a plaid with them.

Later that night, my husband and I were sitting in the Napa Rose, enjoying a glass of wine, when Guy Fieri from the Food Network walked through. He'd been filming a holiday special that aired this past Christmas. We saw him later in CA Adventure, where fans were trailing him for autographs. In both places he was very polite and kind to the people around him. Guy did not have a plaid with him.

I plaid watch when I'm in the parks, knowing there is a good chance someone famous will be with them. My dream would be to see the cast of Glee (they do frequent Disney, often as a group).

I once saw Johnny Depp. He walked right on by and I even got an autograph. I also weirdly saw Jon Voight, Teri Hatcher, Emma Roberts, Kobe Bryant, Orlando Bloom, and Roy Disney that same trip.
Ok, so it was for the Pirates premiere. :rotfl2: It still counts, sort of.
As seen in my avatar.

Rides don't close for celebs, unless they are filming something. Why it closed, I have no idea, but it was pure coincidence. Kobe Bryant has a huge love of Disneyland and is an annual passholder and has even talked about his (healthy) obsession with Disneyland in interviews. He is at the park with his daughters all the time during the NBA off season.

I saw Geena Davis at DCA a few months ago. She and her family were getting on Mulholland Madness, but the ride was not stopped for them. I also saw Jorge Garcia (Hurley, from Lost) in the Tiki Room last summer. He and his family had a plaid escort, but sat right there with the rest of us non-celebrities .

Geena Davis must be a Dis fan because I saw here there as well, many, many years ago.

We also saw her there about 5 years ago. :thumbsup2 We've also seen Teri Garr and one of the girls from MAD TV.

It's so fun to see the Celebs. We too are on Plaid alert when we are at the parks.

So I'll add my two celebs I have seen at Disneyland.

First we saw Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeovers. My DD rode the merry go round while everyone else went on California Screaming. I didn't realize that she was sitting by Ty until she came around and everyone was gawking...LoL :rotfl2: She sat there enjoying the ride having no idea what was going on.

Second we say Guy Fiero from Food Network filming with his family last Christmas. I did watch his Christmas special to see if we made it in any of the shots but we didn't.

I saw Celine Dion at Disneyland a few years ago. She was in jeans and a baseball cap and her hair pulled back into a pony tail. She was kneeling down talking to a child who was with her. I noticed her and I guess I stared for a moment...because she waved to me and smiled, but she was intently watching me too because she could tell I recognized her. I looked away for a split second and she was gone!

I read on a celebrity website (TMZ) that the Dumbo ride was shut down yesterday so that Britney Spears and her kids could have the ride all to themselves. They showed a picture of this on their web site.

I saw that too. It's just gross. She has the money to rent the entire park for a day...why on earth would they shut down the ride so that she can ride it alone?

i saw her yesterday at the park also. we saw her on Tuck & Roll's in Bug Land. I didn't see her get on the cars so, but noticed her when she in there with lost of other people so they may have just given her special entry. (I wouldn't get in a car with her, she was just going round in circles!) She did have a Plaid escort with her and a couple of minders, one who came up to me and told me not to take photos. everyone was clicking away

That makes no sense to me. It is enough of a privilege to just be able to bypass the line and walk on a ride, but to shut down a ride so that there are empty seats while one rides it alone is just too much. I would not have been happy if I was one of the ones waiting in the line!

we were in line for the winnie the pooh ride. trinity from the matrix and her family were getting off as we were getting on.

I would have DIED to see Britney there! I've been a fan ever since she first started.
But yeah, it is a bit ridiculous to shut down a ride like that :sad2:
Shame on you Britney!
