Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

the Cayman pics are gorgeous. I would like to go there one day.

You should! The first week of December is the best time. Still warm and no crowds.

Caymans look great.

What a great room you had, although I don't know if I'd like the tile in all the rooms. I suppose maintenance is easier w/ tile.

That sewing room is messy, but not as bad as you describe it. I've seen worse.

I hate the tile, but we got the timeshare CHEAP, so we deal with it. I'm sure they do it for ease of clean up, since we're so close to the beach. We tracked sand everywhere. I swear, I swept more on this vacation than I do in a month!

The sewing room can't be too bad, since I need to floor clear. I hae some pics of my fabric storage on my BLOG. It's scary. Even for me. :scared: I need to get it organized!

All those Third World resorts use tile flooring. I think it's because of the humidity. Plus it lasts longer than carpet.

tile near beach=gud.

The pics are pretty eye opening, but here's my take. At least you have something you like to do.:) :thumbsup2

Mission completion! And Rah Rah Rah for Rocket!

Home Depot at the mall had LGMHPCs. I got 8, which is about 1/3 of what they had. Every time I go to HD, I check for LGMHPCs. THis wa the FIRST time I actually found them. I almost cheated and picked up some other green ones, but I didn't.

Since Jordan asked so nicely, I will convey my feelings about picking up PCs when I have no intentions of buying paint.

I have two different feelings on this:

First: In no way do I feel like I am stealing. That's what the paint chips are there for: taking them home. Hypothetically to check colors, yes, but they're FREE SAMPLES. DO you feel guilty for tasting free samples at the grocery store, even of things you aren't going to buy (or would buy anyway without the sample)? I didn't think so. I eat the free cookies at the grocery store, I take the paint chips. I also don't go to the groery store specifically for the free samples. I get them if I am already shopping. Same thing with the PCs at Home Depot. It's just part of the shopping experience.

THis leads to my SECOND feeling:

I would NEVER take all of the LGMHPCs unless there was only one left. I would only feel guilty of my greed denying someone who is seriously considering using the paint color from the paint chip in their house. (WHO uses lime green, seriously?). THat's why, even though there were about 30 PCs, I only took 8. I left PLENTY for other DISers or people with odd taste in paint.

I'm sure, if more people were reading this PTR, I would be about to be flamed, but that's how I feel about this. Home Depot EXPECTS these to walk out of the store! That's why they're there. It's not like I'm planning on re-using refillable mugs....(Don't even have any)

You explain it very well.......:thumbsup2

I think the only reason Disney has the LGMHs is for the DIS.......;)

Lime Green? Really? For a house? Or a room?

I agree. You can't tell me disney doesn't love that people use their pain chips for this stuff. I think the only thing people use that color fo is LGMHPC IDs. Look at all of the other LG mickey merchandise!

Honestly, Home Depot probably loves it too, as it gets people in the store, and many of them end up buying stuff. Loss Leader.

Biff just picked up 4 new ones for me. :woohoo:

Dude! The Chef on tonight's Iron Chef is a chef I've seen in my local grocery store! His restaurant just opened a second branch here, and DH is taking me there for my birthday in March! Woohoo!

Angela you are a brave woman for posting pictures of your stash. I refuse to acknowledge let alone show anyone my messy work area.

I understand and appreciate your take on the LGMHPC but I still feel guilty when I liberate them. So as not to feel that way--I make DH get them for me.:thumbsup2

Hey Desia, My DH refuses to get the LGMHPCs. I needed to rationalize it somehow. :goodvibes

And,mif you read my blog, you can see I desperately need to organize, and by making the mess public, I embarrass myself enough to actually get working! (Hypothetically).

Lol on the liberating the LGMHPCs. What are you going to use them for? I know they are for recognizing DIS'ers, but how?

Oh, and I am another completely messy person, especially in my work spaces. I am the total despair of my dh. I will clean, but I hate de-cluttering, especially all the junk that doesn't have a home. If it has a home, it needs to go there (or I will lose it), but if it doesn't have a home, it needs to remain in plain sight (or I will lose it). So, I have a weird combination of stuff that is completely and utterly organized, and completely chaos. My mom was completely surprised to find out that I kept all of my books in alphabetical order, back in high school, for instance.

So has it worked yet? :rolleyes1
 YES.

....sorta.....

....kinda......

.....well.......:rolleyes1

My cats pissed all over the house. I am STILL finding spots full of smelliness. :headache: All sewing reorganization has taken a back seat to deep house cleaning. I haven't even had a chance to sew my customs for WDW (see how smoothly I stay on topic?).

ALSO, my ILs and parents may both be coming over (separately...I hope! :scared: )for extended stays in the coming month. SO, extra deep cleaning of the house has commenced. Mostly cracking down in the kids' rooms (found the latest "deposit" in DDs closet :crazy2:)....and finalizing putting away of Christmas stuff into the new storage we bought this weekend.

But I DID do some work in the basement part of the stash today. Making room for some attic stuff to come down, so some other basement stuff can go up...etc...etc...etc. Also, with my operation and some other stuff, all of the stuff in the dining room for "the garage sale that never happened" needs storing too. It's a never ending battle.

Hey! I more have "themes" of cleaning and organization. Like, all the romance novels on this shelf, all the serger threads in this drawer...

The LGMHPCs will probably have my user name written onto them, then be laminated (note to self: buy self-laminating paper), I then will probably punch a hole in a corner and put them on a carabiner clip which will either be clipped to my wallet chain or my belt loop. First time at WDW as a DISer, so we'll see. :)

And much of my chaos IS organized, just messily. I have a good photographic memoy, so I can usually remember where things are, if they haven't been moved.
