Know where my FAVORITE place in the world is, Mommy? I'm OUTTA HERE!!! Dude OUT!

I'm going to try another HD this weekend, but i am frustrated. :headache:

I feel your pain. There's a HD right near my house, but no LGMHs there. I had to drive a bit to the next closest one......:confused3 What can you do?

Here's just a little something you can do for me when you do find them. How do you feel when you take them? Do you feel like you're stealing? I sure did as did many other DISers who have "lifted" them. I even went as far as taking some Lime green paint chips from other brands just so it looked like I was really interested in that color.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

On the way out, I kept stopping and pretending I was looking at something...when I got outside I ran (okay I didn't run) to the car.....

nice pic from the Caymans.

I also have to get LGMH's. I thought I had 2 and I don't. :scared1: hopefully they have some.

Sorry I am late to the party. I have too many PTR and TR bookmarked so I miss some. I really think that Jordan was trying to keep you to himself. :snooty:

OK, I have been reading enough TR's, and I figured I'd try to write one. (Does EVERYONE start their Tr's like this? Gah, I'm such a cliche.)
DH: Davis - Hunka hunka burning geek (HHBG) 34. :surfweb: Computer Programmer/trader. On-line video game addict. Reads Sci-fi. Puts up with me. VERY understanding guy. :stitch2: Very calm and rational guy. He's an awesome father, and the guy all the "other kids" flock to in pools and on playgrounds. He's my best friend. We've been married 7+ years. SWORE he had had enough Disney at the end of last trip and that he was good for 5 years at least.
ME: Angela - Mid-aged Drama Queen - 30. :stitch: Stay/work at home mom. I like to think I am not a typical mom, but I SO am. I sew and have a hobby/business making stuff, mostly stuff for the little princess, since everything she sees, she claims. I'm a lousy housekeeper, but a good cook, which is why I need to lose about 30 lbs. I am also a borderline-hoarder. I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. I have major "Geek Cred", which is one of the reasons DH loves me....I put up with his video game habit. My Mother doesn't even see what HHBG sees in me, but 7+ years later, and here we still are, so I must have SOME good qualities. :)

I think that you just described DH and I. Especially the parts about being a lousy housekeeper, but a good cook and your mother not seeing what HHBG saw in you.
:rotfl: I am still trying to figure the sewing thing out but I will.

So,. I figured I'd post some pictures from last year's trip"

DSCN0402.jpg

Jasmine took the goosing like a pro...no wonder DS isn't upset about going back to see the princesses...

I was laughing so hard when I saw this picture that DH and to come in and check on me. He started cracking up too!

I did notice some trends to the TRs. Many discussions involving strollers, bags, crocs, and matching tee-shirts. Well, you ain't gonna find none of that HERE. We don't roll like that!

And FINALLY: NO BAGS!

Yes, you read that right, NO BAGS. None. We hate getting bags checked. I have back issues, and can't carry a bag around the park, so HHBG ends up hoofing it around. It ends up in the way on rides and inevitably gets left somewhere. so, NO BAGS!

No, we will repeat what was the best Amusement park idea we have ever had: Cargo pants!

Yes, those wonders of engineering and design, cargo pants. They'll hold everything you really need, AND don't have to be checked by security! Just stock up on sample/purse sized necessities like sunblock, baby wipes, etc. The pockets on my cargo pants hold more than my daily purse, I swear! AND both HHBG and I will be wearing them, so double storage!! BONUS! :wizard:

That is a genius idea that I wish I had known sooner! With the princess potty trained for our next trip we should be able to pull this off. Thanks!

OK, I figured I'd post a quick pic of the first of the dresses I made DD for the princess meals. I think this one will be for CRT:

And some detail:
DSCN0693.jpg

I'll try to get it ironed and a pic of her in it tomorrow. She's asleep right now, and I just finished it. I have an Ariel pink dress in the making for Akershus and a few school dresses on the table too, all of which I want finished by Wednesday....we'll see if that happens.

Sewing is my therapy (and I use it to procrastinate, too), so I'm sure my WAY TOO EARLY disney outfits will continue. Now I jut need to wash and prep the fabric for DS's outfits. :)

This is too cute! Scrapbooking is my procrastination tool.

Off to catch up some more. Just wanted to post before the comment got to long.

Love the CAyman pic Angela. Could you post some of the resort and beach area or did you spend all your time in the room and on the DIS. :rotfl2:

Just for Buzz:

DSCN0720.jpg

This is the view from the door. To the right is a small alcove we think used to be the dining room area and to the left is a full bathroom. Just past the wall on the right is the stairs.

DSCN0722.jpg

This pic is from the opposite side of the downstairs looking towards the kitchen. The shutter doors are to a closet.

DSCN0723.jpg

Pic from the same spot as before, different angle. Note HHBG in his "Spot". He barely moved from here all week. Next year, I am seriously considering leaving the lap tops home. :headache:

DSCN0724.jpg

This pic is taken from HHBG's "spot".

DSCN0725.jpg

We were SOOOOOO far from the pool! :rotfl: This is our "back door"

DSCN0727.jpg

The Master Bedroom. This is a double bed. The kids ended up sleeping in here, as the first night we were in Cayman we slept at a different hotel in a double bed, and (in his sleep) HHBG elbowed me in the face so hard, I'm still surprised I didn't get a black eye. (This is also why we NEVER considered co-sleeping with the kids)

DSCN0728.jpg

The balcony off of the MBR

DSCN0732.jpg

We could see the ocean! Honest! (Not officially an "ocean view room")

DSCN0733.jpg

Our pool. I didn't take pics of the other 2 pools, or better pics of what I did photo, because I was going to wait until later in our vacation, and it was raining. :sad1:

DSCN0734.jpg

The other bedroom. Where DH and I slept. It sucked sleeping alone. I slept very poorly all vacation. I know, cry you a river. :rolleyes1

DSCN0735.jpg

Same room, other side.

Next post, some pics from Cayman. Enjoy.

DSCN0738.jpg

This is the beach at Rum Point. (Where the boats for Stingray City leave from)

DSCN0739.jpg

Same beach, again.

DSCN0740.jpg

DD hamming it up for the camera.

DSCN0741.jpg

DS was more concerned with his cookie than the camera.

DSCN0742.jpg

Get your own hammock, Mommy!

DSCN0743.jpg

Last one to the car is a rotten egg!

:welcome: Desia!!

Man, I love that pic of the kids with Jasmine. DS is SOOO getting blackmailed when he grows up. My sister thought that pic should have been our Christmas card. :lmao:

I'm toying with the idea of making my own cargoes this trip out of jeans. We'll see. I still have SOOO much sewing to do! :scared:

OK, this is the piece we bought in August....for my 115 year old Victorian house...

DSCN0753.jpg

And this is the piece we had commissioned by the same artist for the other side of the room. This was HHBG's Christmas present.

DSCN0752.jpg

Not the best pic, but you get an idea. All we did today was hang this piece and watch football. Busy day. :rolleyes1

Tomorrow, laundry and cleaning.

Oh, and I got these:

Note the color. :goodvibes

I also got a pair of stitch dangly earrings. Stitch is my favorite. :)

Hi Angela! I'm here! :goodvibes I'm still catching up, but I had to tell you that I love the artwork you posted pictures of today!!! (I'm working my way backward - don't ask, I'm weird like that!) You have great taste! :thumbsup2

:welcome:

Good luck! I talk a LOT! Thanks for the positive art review. It actually works really well in my house. :confused3

the Cayman pics are gorgeous. I would like to go there one day.

Caymans look great.

What a great room you had, although I don't know if I'd like the tile in all the rooms. I suppose maintenance is easier w/ tile.

That sewing room is messy, but not as bad as you describe it. I've seen worse.
